understanding of why teachers plan the way they do. What
factors go into planning lessons for a variety of students.

Study Abroad (May 2017)

Taught for a month at Nakido school in Arusha, Tanzania.
Planned and taught lessons for 3rd grade English and 5th
grade Mathematics.

Creating lessons/activities for at risk children in the after school
program at Sibley Elementary.

Allendale Public Schools- Evergreen Wing (Winter 2016)

Tutored students twice a week during the winter semester. Improved
fluency and comprehension with lesson plans developed both in and
out of the English 308 classroom.

Creekside Middle School (Winter 2016)

Created a weeklong lesson with other pre-service teachers, observed,
then taught the last day of the lesson with another student.

students grades K-5 that included discussion questions, a teacher
lesson to extend the lesson we taught, and a reflection on final
outcomes.

Read to students in after school program, created activities to follow
along with books being read.
