DESCRIPTION

Caterpillar C13 (Turbocharged Aftercooler) packaged Generator Set, arranged for 320 kW/ 400 kVA Prime rating,
@ 0.8 PF, 400 Volt, 3 Phase, 50 Hertz at 1500 RPM, complete with standard accessories and following
attachments:

AIR INLET SYSTEM Air cleaner, single element canister type (housing).

STARTING/ CHARGING 45 Amp charging alternator, 24 Volt starting motor, Battery with rack and cables,
SYSTEM Battery charger 5A, Battery disconnect switch and Jacket water heater.

GOVERNING SYSTEM Caterpillar Electronic Governor ADEM 4 complete with Speed Control.

COOLING SYSTEM
Radiator, package-mounted, sized for 50 deg C (122 deg F) as an open
package. Coolant drain line with valve; terminated on edge of base. Fan and
belt guards. Thermostats and housing. Coolant level sight gauge. Jacket water
pump, gear driven, centrifugal. Caterpillar Extended Life Coolant. Coolant Level
Sensor, Radiator stone guard.

EXHAUST SYSTEM
Stub-up pipe, gasket and stainless steel exhaust flex with U-clamps, shipped
loose. Exhaust manifold; dry. Includes installed charge air, manifold and
turbocharger guards. Industrial Muffler 6" - 10dBA Attenuation; shipped loose.

FUEL SYSTEM Primary fuel filter with integral water separator & secondary filter. Fuel cooler.
Fuel priming pump. Flexible fuel lines. Engine fuel transfer pump.

Permanent magnet, self-excited 2/3 pitch, random wound. 12 leads. IP23

GENERATORS AND
Protection. Class H insulation; class H temperature rise; temperature rise = 125
GENERATOR ATTACHMENTS
deg C prime, 40 deg C ambient. R450 Voltage Regulator. 3-phase sensing
module, Power center, IP22 rear facing, bottom cable entry. Segregated low
voltage (AC/DC) wiring panel. circuit breaker, IEC, 3 pole, mounted in power

Space heater.

INSTRUMENTATION Electronic Modular Control Panel 4.2 (EMCP 4.2) control panel, including:

Digital engine monitoring for: RPM, DC volts, Operating hours, Oil pressure,
Coolant temperature, Volts, Generator frequency (Hz), Amps (phase &
average). Power factor, kW, kVA, kVAr (per phase, average & percent), kW-hr
(total), kVAr-hr (total).

Warning/Safety shutdown protection with common indicating light for:

Low oil pressure, High coolant temperature, Overspeed, Emergency stop,
Failure to start (overcrank), Low coolant temperature, Low coolant level.

Programmable protective relaying functions: Generator phase sequence,

Over/Under voltage, Over/Under Frequency, Reverse Power (kW), Reverse
Reactive Power (kVAr), Overcurrent.

Communications: Customer data link (Modbus RTU), Accessory module data

link, Serial annunciator module data link.
Compatible with the following optional modules: Digital I/O module, Local
Annunciator, Remote CAN annunciator, Remote serial annunciator, RTD
module, Thermocouple module.

LUBE SYSTEM Oil cooler, Lubricating oil, Oil filter and dipstik, Oil drain line with valve; Piped to
edge of base, Fumes disposal and Piped to front of radiator.

MOUNTING SYSTEM Linear vibration isolators between base and engine-generator. Base, formed
steel with single wall integral 8-hour fuel tank; includes lifting provisions and
termination points for coolant and lube oil drain lines.

GENERAL
12 month warranty from start up or 18 (eighteen) months from delivery date
whichever come first. Caterpillar Yellow/ Black paint, English Language, All
electroplated hardware Anticorrosive paint protection, High gloss polyurethane
paint for durability and scuff resistance.
