Overview
◗ The above qualifications are accredited in England, Wales and Northern Ireland by
Ofqual, WAG and CCEA respectively and also have recognition in a number of other
countries. The qualification title is ‘Diploma’ due to the size of the credit value. See
credit value below for more information.
◗ They are registered on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) as a Level 4
qualification comparable within the Higher Education (HE) sector as a Certificate of
Higher Education.

UCAS points
◗ As this qualification is above Level 3 there will therefore be no UCAS points awarded
in connection with this qualification.
◗ The maximum mark available is 100 and the grade boundaries remain fixed at 50 for
a Pass and 75 for Distinction level.

Guided Learning Hours


◗ As an awarding organisation we have suggested that the Guided Learning Hours
(GLH) for this qualification are 54 hours. It is at the teacher’s discretion, as with any
qualification, as to how many hours are used to prepare for the qualification.
◗ We do advise as a prerequisite that students study at an advanced level (Level 3,
Grades 6-8) in an aspect of performance prior to undertaking this qualification.

Credit Value
◗ This qualification is a Diploma therefore the total number of credits awarded are: 90
credits.
