A type of assessment I will use during my lesson is pair sharing. Another assessment I will use is
having the students draw the order of the plant life cycle. Students will also plant a flower seed
to actually see a plant go through its life cycle.

I will connect the lesson to what students know about how things grow. I will motivate them to
learn the topic with fun activities and having them actually plant a flower seed for them to grow
their own plant that they will be able to take home once it has started to grow.
