Summer 2018 Software Development Engineer Intern - Reinsurance Group of America, Inc.
TIF to PDF Conversion

• Converted all incoming and preexisting .tif files, which could only be viewed with a Java applet that was no
longer supported by some browsers, to .pdf files.
• Allowed thousands of employees to continue to view and gather data from the millions of files in multiple
databases across three different production environments.
• Used tools such as OpenText Capture Center, OpenText Case360, and Hyland OnBase for image OCR and
file management with their scripting languages heavily based on Java and C# as well as Oracle SQL.
• Gained experience with the complete lifecycle of software development, QA and automated testing, as well
as product support.
