Instructions
 Insert the temperature probe cover on to the device as shown in Figure 2.
 Switch ON the device by pressing the blue button on the device.
 Gently insert the probe into the ear canal until a slight resistance is felt.
 Place the Thermometer in such a way that its tip is pointing straight at patient’s
eardrum as shown in Figure 3. User may have to adjust for ear canals which are a
little bent, so the sensor is aimed at the ear drum.
 Select Thermometer option from the ReMeDi Nova iCARE application.
 Device will make a beep sound. Hold the Thermometer steadily in the same position.
 Device starts recording the temperature which is displayed on the device and in the
application as shown in Figure 4.
 Thermometer will beep again, and the result will be shown on the display.
 Once the reading has completed in the Android application, click on Save button in
the App to send the data back to the calling application or Discard to discard the
reading. If the App is being used in stand-alone mode, clicking on either button
discards the reading.
 Device will switch OFF automatically.
 Gently remove the device from the ear canal.

Note
 ReMeDi Nova iCARE Android application is required to use this Device.
 Please make sure the device is charged before using. If battery is low, red light will
glow on the device when the sensor is switched ON.

Pulse Oximeter
Pulse Oximeter is a small, lightweight device that painlessly attaches to the fingertip to
monitor the amount of oxygen carried in the body. An oxygen saturation level of greater
than 95% is generally considered to be healthy. In addition to oxygen saturation level, pulse
rate is also displayed. Normal pulse rate values for adults is in the range of 60-80 beats per
minute. Heart rate can be expected to increase a little with exercise and oxygen saturation
may slightly vary.

glow on the device when it is switched ON.

Sphygmomanometer/Blood Pressure Monitor

A Sphygmomanometer, also known as a blood pressure meter, blood pressure monitor, or
blood pressure gauge, is a device used to measure blood pressure, composed of an
inflatable cuff to collapse and then release the artery under the cuff in a controlled manner

Electrocardiogram
Electrocardiography (ECG) is the process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over
a period using electrodes placed on the skin. These electrodes detect the tiny electrical
changes on the skin that arise from the heart muscle's electrophysiologic pattern of
depolarizing and re polarizing during each heartbeat. It is a very commonly performed
cardiology test.

Glucometer in Lipid Profile Analyzer

A glucose meter is a medical device for determining the approximate concentration of
glucose in the blood. It is a key element of home blood glucose monitoring (HBGM) by
people with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia. A small drop of blood, obtained by pricking
the skin with a lancet, is placed on a disposable test strip that the meter reads and uses to
calculate the blood glucose level. The meter then displays the level in units of mg/dl or
mmol/l.

Instructions
 Remove a new glucose test strip from container. Be sure to tightly replace container
cap after removing glucose test strip.
 Insert a glucose test strip into the 'Glucose Test Strip Slot' of the Analyzer. The
Analyzer will automatically enter the glucose testing mode regardless of inserting a
code chip. as shown in the Figure 25(a).
 Be ready with the blood sample on the finger by using a lancing device.

(a) (b)
Figure 25: Blood Glucose Test

 When the blood drop symbol flashes in the left side of glucose strip symbol, you are
ready to perform a glucose test as shown in Figure 25(b).
 The blood will be drawn into the glucose strip automatically. If beeper is turned ON,
Analyzer will beep to let you know the glucose test is beginning
 Hold your finger to the tip of the glucose strip (Figure 26) until the yellow window is
filled with blood. Do not place the blood drop on top of the glucose strip as shown in
Figure 27.

Figure 26: Position to take the blood for test

 When blood is applied to the glucose strip, the display counts down from 5 to
1(seconds) and your result appears on the display in just 5 seconds.
 When the test is done, pull out the used glucose test strip. The Analyzer shuts off
automatically in 3 seconds after you remove the test strip.

Figure 27: Precaution

 Now connect the cable between the device and mobile through OTG cable Navigate
to the Glucometer option at the parameter page.
 Select the Glucometer option on the parameter page. Click on Scan button and
automatically the device starts fetching the data to the Remedi NOVA application.
 Once the result is transferred to the Android application, click on Save button in the
App to send the data back to the calling application or Discard to discard the result.
If the App is being used in stand-alone mode, clicking on either button discards the
reading.
 The device will automatically turn OFF.

 Replace the cap and turn it clockwise, until it is snug. Adjust the puncture depth
setting by turning the comfort dial. The dial has 1 to 5 steps, and the higher the step
number, the stronger the blood sampling pressure on the puncture site.
The tip offers 5 different levels of skin penetration.
1-2: for soft or thin skin
3: for average skin
4-5: for thick or callused skin

Fetal Doppler
A Doppler Fetal Monitor is a hand-held ultrasound transducer used to detect the fetal
heartbeat for prenatal care. It uses the Doppler effect to provide an audible simulation of
the heartbeat. Some models also display the heart rate in beats per minute (BPM). Use of
this monitor is sometimes known as Doppler Auscultation. The Doppler Fetal Monitor is
commonly referred to simply as a Doppler or Fetal Doppler.
