Typing is the process of inputting text into a device, such as a typewriter, cell phone,
computer, or a calculator, by pressing keys on a keyboard. It can be distinguished from other
means of input, such as the use of pointing devices like the computer mouse, and text input
via speech recognition. The pen and memory base unit captures Marathi natural handwriting
and illustrations in real time while connected to a PC where they can then be backed up and
converted to editable typed text exported straight into office applications. With the
introduction of computers and word-processors, there has been a change in how text-entry is
performed. In the past, using a typewriter, speed was measured with a stopwatch and errors
were tallied by hand. With the current technology, document preparation is more about using
word-processors as a composition aid, changing the meaning of error rate and how it is
measured. We can use this digital pen to type Marathi literals and user cannot cumbersome to
write any text in this language. They can use their own way to write or create their own
document. Computer users are depend on typist or data entry operator for typing huge
amount of data. One more advantage of writing is always better then reading. It has been
proved. We cannot forget if we write some text two or more times. This pen in not available
in Marathi language and many more languages in India
The social need is, this pen will be widely used in Maharashtra (Government offices, school,
colleges and region as well as some other state where Marathi is a common or official language.
Yet in computer many people near about 70% people are depending on typist for typing, this pen
can help them to reduce their typing burden.
