Crocodiles are ancient animals, which is only slightly changed because of evolution since the time of
dinosaurus.Buaya can move very quickly over short distances, even out of water.
This beast has a very strong jaws, which can bite with incredible power, making it an animal with the
biggest bite force. Crocodile bite pressure is not less than 5,000 psi (pounds per square inch; equivalent
to 315 kg / cm ²) [1]. Crocodile teeth pointed and sharp, very useful for holding prey. Crocodile attacks its
prey by biting prey to pounce at the same time, then pull firmly and abruptly into air.Buaya prey on fish,
birds, mammals, and sometimes also other, smaller crocodiles and even crocodile carcass of an adult.
This reptile is an ambush predator, he waited for prey, land animals, or fish over and jump on him
abruptly. As the cold-blooded animals, these predators can survive long enough without food, and seldom
really need to move to hunt their prey. Although it seems slow, crocodiles are top predators in their
environment.
In the breeding season and nesting crocodiles can be very aggressive and easily attack humans or other
animals that mendekat.Di spawning season is very ferocious crocodiles guard their nests and eggs.
Parent female alligator usually keep their eggs with buried under mounds of earth or sand mixed with the
litter of leaves. Parent then stayed with him from a distance of about 2 meters.
Crocodile body size varies greatly from species to species, ranging from the dwarf crocodile to the giant
estuarine crocodiles. Large-bodied species can grow longer than 5 m and has a weight exceeding 1,200
kg. However, babies only crocodile measuring about 20 cm when hatched from eggs. Largest crocodile
species are estuarine crocodiles, which live in Southeast Asia to the northern Australia. - See more at:

medicine and much more. However, there are also several types of them that are harmful to
humans such as Komodo and Biawak. There are even lizards that have very strong poison such
as Giant Mad Lizard and Beads Lizard which can be found in Mexico.
Komodo dragons or Varanus komodoensis are the biggest living lizard in the

but sometimes active at night. Komodo dragons are animal from Indonesia. They
are only live in Indonesia.
Komodo dragons have length about 3 meter, and weight up to 165 kg. Male

Snakes
Snakes are reptiles (cold-blooded creatures). They belong to the same group as lizards
(the scaled group, Squamata) but form a sub-group of their own (Serpentes).
Snakes have no legs but a long time ago they had claws to help them slither along.
Snakes are not slimy. They are covered in scales which are just bumps on the skin. Their
skin is hard and glossy to reduce friction as the snake slithers along the ground.
Snakes often sun bake on rocks in the warm weather. This is because snakes are cold-
blooded and they need the sun’s warmth to heat their body up.
Most snakes live in the country. Some types of snakes live in trees; some live in water,
but most live on the ground in deserted rabbit burrows, in thick, long grass and in old
logs.
A snake’s diet usually consists of frogs, lizards, and mice and other snakes. The
Anaconda can eat small crocodiles and even wild boars.
Many snakes protect themselves with their fangs. Boa Constrictors can give you a bear
hug which is so powerful. It can crush every single bone in your body. Some snakes are
protected by scaring their enemies away like the Cobra. The Flying Snakes glides away
from danger. Their ribs spread apart and the skin stretches out. Its technique is just like
the sugar glider’s.
Turtles belong to an old group of reptiles that go back to the time of the
dinosaurs. Today there are about 250 different types of turtles. The turtle is an animal
that moves very slowly, but some sea turtles can move faster.
Turtles can be found all over the world, except in very cold areas. Most of them
live in freshwater, but some types live in salt water or on land. Turtles haven’t changed
very much since they first came to earth about 200 million years ago. Some are very
small and weigh very little about 0.5 kg. Others can be up to 2 metres and weigh about
700 kg.
A turtle’s body is surrounded by a hard shell that protects its organs. Many
turtles can pull their heads, legs and tails into the shell. It is very strong and can support
a weight that is much greater than the turtle itself. Turtles don’t have teeth they tear
apart food with their beaks. They have powerful legs and short feet. Turtles can see,
taste and smell but they cannot hear very well. Most turtles eat plants and sea animals,
like worms, snails, insects, jellyfish or mussels. They can survive for a long time without
food. But when they see food they eat a lot and can grow very fat.

Living snakes are found on every continent except Antarctica, and on most smaller land masses;
exceptions include some large islands, such as Ireland and New Zealand, and many small
islands of the Atlantic and central Pacific. Additionally, sea snakes are widespread throughout
the Indian and Pacific Oceans. More than 20 families are currently recognized, comprising about
500 genera and about 3,400 species. They range in size from the tiny, 10 cm-long thread snake
to the reticulated python of up to 6.95 meters (22.8 ft) in length. The fossil species Titanoboa
cerrejonensis was 13 meters (43 ft) long. Snakes are thought to have evolved from either
burrowing or aquatic lizards, perhaps during the Jurassic period, with the earliest known fossils
dating to between 143 and 167 Ma ago.The diversity of modern snakes appeared during the
Paleocene period (c 66 to 56 Ma ago). The oldest preserved descriptions of snakes can be found
in the Brooklyn Papyrus.

1. My friend Tim
His name is Tim. He lives in Nottingham, which is a city in the UK.
He lives in a small detached house with his wife Jenny, and their two children, Lisa and
James.
He works at Debenhams in Nottingham, and he really enjoys his job. He is a sales
manager for the sports clothing department. Debenhams is the largest department store
in Nottingham and there are branches all over the UK.
When He is not at work, he likes to play tennis with his friend Joe. Joe is much better than
him, but he still enjoys it.
At the weekends, he sometimes takes his family to Manchester to visit Jenny’s mum. She
lives at Pine View Nursing Home in a nice suburb of the city and has been there for about
five years. She loves to see her grandchildren. James always tells her about what he is
doing at school James and Lisa both go to the same school, Mount Street Junior School.
8. My Friend, Jacques
Jacques has been my close friend for two years. I first met him on a school exchange trip
to Calais, France. I asked him the way to the library and we started talking. We’ve been
friends ever since.
Jacques is quite good-looking. He’s tall and slim, with olive skin and curly dark hair. Like
many French people, he has a great sense of style, so he always looks well-dressed even
in casual clothes.
Jacques is very outgoing. He is always friendly and loves to have fun. He’s got a fantastic
sense of humour and he always makes me laugh. However, he can be a bit immature at
times. For example, when he doesn’t get what he wants, he acts childishly and stamps his
feet.
Jacques is very keen on water sports. He likes sailing and he spends a lot of time on his
boat. He enjoys scuba diving, too, and loves exploring life under sea.
All in all, I’m glad to have Jacques as my friend. It’s a pleasure to be with him and I really
enjoy his company. I’m sure we’ll always be close friends.
