280–1,200 cu.m., total storage capacity 68,580 cu.m. handling chemicals. Berth

OVERVIEW: The port consists of a breakwater, built over the Punta Borja Reef.
It is L-shaped, 1,160 m. in EW direction and 300 m. in NS direction. This breakwater
gives protection from SW’ly, S’ly and SE’ly winds, and from swell from SW, south
and east.
TERMAP terminal SBM located at Caleta Cordova, handles approx. 1,250,000
cu.m. of crude oil, approx. 33.4 percent of the countries total marine import.
LOCATION: On the San Jorge Gulf, 800 km. SSW of Buenos Aires, within
the boundaries of the city of Comodoro Rivadavia.
Caleta Cordova is approx. 12 n.m. north of Comodoro Rivadavia.
