COMMUNIQUE

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS BASED ON MERIT AND SOCIAL CRITERIA 2018

A Communiqué was issued on 27 April 2018 inviting applications for the award of
24 scholarships under the Additional Scholarship Schemes based on Merit & Social
Criteria.

A selection exercise has been carried out by the Ministry of Education and Human
Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the Ministry of
Social Security, National Solidarity & Reform Institutions in accordance with the provisions
of the Education (Amendment) Regulations 2013 as subsequently amended.

With regard to the two scholarships awarded to Rodriguan candidates, the selection
exercise has been conducted by the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.

The following candidates have been awarded scholarships under these two schemes,
respectively in the light of the eligibility on merit and social criteria out of all applications
received.

(a) 16 Additional Scholarships Scheme

Additional Scholarships based on merit and social criteria to eligible students ranked
among the first 500 of the Cambridge International Examination Scholarship Rank
Orders, and whose total parental income does not exceed, in the aggregate, 16,000
rupees per month.

as the results of the Cambridge Higher School Certificate Examinations (2017) and
whose total parental income does not exceed, in the aggregate, 9,500 rupees per
month.
