here Upon the Prophet of the Lunimous forehead
‫صلوا بنا يا حاضرين *** على النبى ضاوى‬
‫الجبين‬
Upon the Prophet the best of people
More beautiful than the moon ‫على النبى خير البشر *** من فاق فى الحسن‬
This is the Prophet most famous ‫القمر‬
He has surpassed all of the Messengers
‫هذا النبى المشتهر *** قد فاق كل المرسلين‬
This is the Prophet the trustworthy one
And by his light the time/age was enlightened
‫هذا النبى المؤتمن *** وبنوره ضاء الزمن‬
Grandfather of Husain and Hasan
And a mercy to all the worlds ٌ
‫ورحمة للعالمين‬ *** ‫جد الحسين والحسن‬
O Rawdha in which is the Imam
Al Mustafa, The chosen one, best of men
ً
‫روضة فيها الإمام *** المصطفى خير الأنام‬ ‫يا‬
How fortunate is he who visits the maqam
‫يا سعد من زار المقام *** فى روضة فيها الأمين‬
In a Rawdha in which is al-Ameen
Its scent is from the best perfume ‫يا عطرها من خير طيب *** فيها النبى فيها‬
In it is the Prophet, the Beloved ‫الحبيب‬
And for the hearts the best doctor
He healed the hearts of the believers ‫وللقلوب نعم الطبيب *** داوى قلوب المؤمنين‬
How fortunate is he who walks to him ً
‫مسلما بين يديه‬ ‫يا سعد من يمشى إليـ *** ــه‬
And greets him standing in front of him
For there he does Salat and Salam ‫فهناك قد صلى عليـ ـ *** ــه مع الكرام‬
With the other noble visitors ‫الزائرين‬
How fortunate is he who calls out to him
In that most honoured place ‫يا سعد من ناداه فى *** ذاك المقام الأشرف‬
ِّ ‫يارب‬
Oh Rabb send Salat and Salam
‫صل مع السلام *** للمصطفى خير الأنام‬
On Mustafa, the best of creation
And on his noble family and companions ‫والآل والصحب الكرام *** ما سار ركب‬
As long as the visitors travel to him ‫الزائرين‬
Durood 29 - on the perfections of Rasulullah
‫ ﷺ‬for expansion of the heart, removing of
burdens, for affairs to be made easy and for

ِ ‫الط ِر َيق ِة الْم ُْس َتقِي َم ِة ۝ الْه‬
‫َـــاش ِم ِّي‬
‫ِيف ۝ صَ لا ًة تَ ْش َر ُح ِب َها صَ ْد ِري ۝‬ ِ ‫الش ِر ِيف ۝ َوالْ ُق َر ِش ِّي الْ َعف‬ َّ
‫ك ِري ۝‬ ْ ‫َو َت َض ُع ِب َها ِو ْز ِري ۝ َو ُتي ّ َِس ُر ِب َها َأمْ ِري ۝ َوتَ ْرفَ ُــع ِب َها ِذ‬
‫ك ِب َها ِفي ُعـ ْم ِري ۝ َو َعلٰى آلِ ِه َو َأ ْصحَا ِب ِه‬ ُ ‫َوتُ ِدي ُم ِب َهـــا َأجْ ِري ۝ َوت ُ َبا ِر‬
َ ‫اجـــ ِه َو ُذ ّ ِريَّتِـــ ِه َأجْ ـ َمع‬
‫ِين‬ َ
ِ ‫ـــل بَ ْيتِ ِه َوأ ْز َو‬
ِ ‫َوأ ْه‬

O Allah send Your special blessings upon our leader

Muhammad, The Grandfather of Hasan and Husayn and the
best amongst men and jinn, the Imam of the two Qiblahs1, the
coolness of every eye, the glowing lamp of the two realms,
and the second of the two2. The one who is free from every
defect, and the remover of every evil with his splendour.
Possessor of every comprehensive virtue and follower of the
straight path. The Noble Hashimite and the upright Quraishi3.
Let this salaat (durood) be the means to expand my bosom,
and a means of : removing my burden, my affairs to be made
easy, my good reputation to be raised, my reward to be
continued and a means for my life to be blessed. Salaat and
Salaam upon his family, his companions, his household, his
wives and all his progeny
1. Qiblahs of Masjid al Aqsa and Masjidul Haram
2. 'The two in the cave' as mentioned in the Qur'an, the other being Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA
3. The Noble Hashimi, Quraish tribe

DUA FOR PROTECTION
Hadrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari � reported:
When Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬had any fear of an enemy, he used to supplicate:
ْ ‫ُــو ُذب ِ َك ِم‬

ْ ‫ــن ُش ُر ْو ِر ِه‬
‫ـــم‬ ْ ‫َاللَّـــه َُّم ِانَّـا َن ْج َعلُ َك ِف ْي ُنح ُْو ِر ِه‬
ْ ‫ـــم َونَع‬
Allahumma innaa naj'aluka fi nuhuurihim wa na'udhubika min shuruuri-
him
O Allah! We put You in front of them, and we seek refuge in You from
their evils

best of men, the dispeller of darkness and the Messenger of Allah The
Sovereign the Most Knowledgeable. The one who stood for prayer while
the people slept. O Allah, grant us a good end.

fu bihar raana 'an quloobinaa wa tuyassiryu bihaa umoorana
wa tasturu bihaa 'uyoobana wa taghfiru bihaa dhunoobana wa
tuqdaa bihaa duyoonana wa tuzakkee bihaa nufoosana wa tun-
awwiru bihaa absaarana wa quloobanaa wa 'ala aalihi wa sallim

such a blessing by which You remove the rust from our hearts,
make our affairs easy, and veil our faults and forgive our sins and
settle our debts and purify our inner selves and enlightgen our
sight and our hearts and may Salaat and Salaam be upon his
family ‫ﷺ‬

tunawwiru bihaa basaree wa baseeratee wa tuslihu bihaa
zaahiree wa sareeratee wa 'ala aalihi wa sallim, innaka 'ala kulli
shay-in qadeer.
such a blessing through which You enlighten our outer sight
and inner insight, and reform our outer and deep inner-selves.
And may Salaat and Salaam be upon his family. Surely You have
power over all things

DUA FOR EASE

‫ـــرمَ ِة َسـ ِّي ِد ْال َا ْب َرا ِر َسـ ّ ِه ْل‬

Fa sahhil Yaa Ilaahi kulla sa'bin
bi hurmati sayyidil abraari sahhil
And make it easy O Allah

by the sacredness of the leader of the pious

‫ـــوبَنَا َوتَ ْش ِــف ْى بِهَــا‬ َ ‫َا ْخ َل‬
‫َعلِ ْيلَ َنــا َوتَ ْقـــضِ ْى بِهَا حَ ـــاجَ َت َنـا َوتُ َو ّ ِس ُع بِهَا َا ْر َز َاق َنا َو ُتي ّ َِس ُر‬
‫بِهَــا ُامُ ْو َرنَا َوتَ ْق َب ُل بِهَا َا ْعـ َمالَ َنـــا َو ُتح َّق ُِق بِهَا آمَ الَ َنـــا َوتَ ْرفَ ُــع بِهَا‬
‫ك َرنَا َوصَ لَّى الل ُه َعلٰى َس ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّ ٍد َو اٰلِهِ َو َص ْح ِب ِه‬
ْ ‫ِذ‬
O Allah let this salaat (durood) be a means of bosoms to be expanded
and our souls and spirits to be purified, our faces, and character to be
beautified, our sins to be forgiven, our blemishes to be concealed, our
sick ones to be cured, our needs to be fulfilled, our sustenance to be
multiplied, our matters to be eased, our good actions to be accepted,
our aspirations to be realised and our remembrance to be raised. And
may the blessing of Allah be upon our master Muhammad and his
family and companions
DUA FOR THE UMMAH
Abul Abbas al-Mursi � said, “Al-Khidar � came to me once and introduced
himself to me, and I acquired from him the knowledge of the souls of the
believers, are they tortured or in bliss, so now even if a thousand scholars argue
with me about that, and say that he is dead, I would not go back to believing
what they say.”
He also said, “As for Al-Khadir � he is alive. And I have shaken his hand with
this palm, and he told me that everyone who says the following every morning,
will become one of the Abdal,
‎‫ـــر لِ ُامَّ ـــ ِة مُحَمَّ ٍد ﷺ‬

ْ ‫َاللّٰـــه َُّم ْاغ ِف‬
O Allah forgive the Ummah of Muhammad ‫ﷺ‬
َ َّ‫ُـــم َا ْصــلِ ْح ُام‬

‎‫ــة مُحَمَّ ٍد ﷺ‬ َّ ‫َاللّٰه‬
O Allah reform the Ummah of Muhammad ‫ﷺ‬
‎‫ـــن ُامَّ ـــ ِة مُحَمَّ ٍد ﷺ‬ َ ‫ُـــم َتج‬

ْ ‫َـــاو ْز َع‬ َّ ‫َاللّٰه‬
O Allah prevent calamaties from falling upon the
Ummah of Muhammad ‫ﷺ‬
‎‫ُـــم اجْ َعلْ َنا ِم ْن ُامَّ ـــ ِة مُحَمَّ ٍد ﷺ‬

َّ ‫َ”اللّٰه‬
O Allah make us form amongst the Ummah
of Muhammad ‫( ﷺ‬let us die with Imaan)
Some students asked al-Mursi’s � Shaykh, Al-Sha-

dhili � about this and he said, “Abul Abbas has
said the truth.”

‫ َح َّدث َ َنا إِبْ َرا ِهي ُم‬، ‫ أَنْ َبأَنَا أَبُو َع ْمرِو بْنِ َمطَ ٍر‬:its ‫ قَاال‬ultimate

līَ related to us that Yahyā b.َ Yahyā related to us that Ismā`īl b.
‫ اد‬: ‫ فَق ََال‬، ‫ل‬ ََّ ‫ َواشْ تَ َّد َع‬، ‫ض ِس آذ َِان‬ ِْ ‫أشْ تَ ِك‬of ‫ول اللَّ ِه‬
‫ إِ ِّن‬،Allah ‫ يَا َر‬: ‫ فَق ََال‬، ‫ ْؤت َ َة‬puts

‫ول اللَّ ِه َصل‬ ُ ‫ فَ َوضَ َع َر ُس‬، ‫كَشَ َف اللَّ ُه َع ْن ُه كَ ْربَ ُه‬portance ‫وب إِال‬
ٌ ‫ ٌن َم ْك ُر‬of ‫ ُم ْؤ ِم‬it‫ ِب َها‬in
‫ ْد ُعو‬current َ ‫ ألَ ْد ُع َو َّن ل‬And
َ‫َك ِب َد ْع َو ٍة ال ي‬times. ‫ي بِالْ َح ِّق‬Allah ‫ل َِّذي بَ َعثَ ِن‬knows ‫ َوا‬، ‫ ِم ِّني‬best.
‫ " اللَّ ُه َّم أَ ْذ ِه ْب َع ْن ُه ُسو َء َما يَ ِج ُد َوفُ ْحشَ ُه ِب َد ْع َو ِة نَ ِب ِّي َك الْ ُم َبا َر ِك الْم‬: ‫ َوق ََال‬، ‫اللَّ ُه َعلَ ْي ِه َو َسلَّ َم يَ َد ُه َع َل الْ َخ ِّد ال َِّذي ِفي ِه الْ َو َج ُع‬
. ‫ َهذَا ُم ْنق َِط ٌع‬، " ‫ فَشَ فَا ُه اللَّ ُه َع َّز َو َج َّل قَ ْب َل أَ ْن يَ ْ َب َح‬: ‫ ق ََال‬، ‫ات‬ ٍ ‫ َس ْب َع َم َّر‬، ‫ِع ْند ََك‬
DUA FROM HADITH
TO BE READ IN ANY AFFLICTON
When the Prophet, ‫ﷺ‬, dispatched ‘Abdullāh b. Rawāhah �
alongside Zayd and Ja`far � to Mu’tah , ‘Abdullāh b. Rawāhah �
said: ‘Messenger of Allah, I am complaining of the state of my molar
teeth and my ears. The pain has become grievous to endure.’ He ‫ﷺ‬
said in reply: “Draw closer. By the One who sent me by the truth, I shall
make a supplication for you that no distressed mu’min will supplicate
by but that Allah will remove from him his afflicting hardship.” The
Messenger of Allah, ‫ﷺ‬, laid his hand on ‘Abdullāh’s cheek where the
sharp pain was located, and said:
‫ُـــم َا ْذ ِه ْب َع ْن ُه ُس ْو َء مَ ا ي َِـج ُد َوفُـحْ َش ُه ب ِ َد ْع َو ِة‬

َّ ‫اللّٰه‬‎َ
x7 ‫ك‬ َ ‫كي ِْن ِع ْن َد‬ ِ ‫ك الْـ َم‬ ِ ‫ك الْـ ُم َب َار‬ َ ‫نَ ِب ِّي‬
* When reading for yourself you may also read the underlined
words as ‫ َع ّنِ ْى‬and ‫َا ِج ُد‬
“O Allāh, lift from him (me) the evil which he (I) experiences and
his (its) detestable affliction, by the petition of your blessed
Prophet who is securely placed with You”, seven times.
Allah, the Mighty and the Majestic, healed him before he could
even depart

“O Allah, I am your slave, the son of your slave. My forelock is in Your Hand. Your judgment
of me is inescapable. Your trial of me is just. I am invoking You by all the names that You call
Yourself, that You have taught to anyone in Your creation, that You have mentioned in Your Book,
or that You have kept unknown. Let the Qur’an be delight of my heart, the light of my chest, the
remover of my sadness and the pacifier of my worries.” (Source: Musnad Ahmad # 1/391)
VIRTUE: It is recorded in Musnad Ahmad and Sahih Abu Hatim on the authority of ‘Abdullah
bin Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah ‫ ﷺ‬said:
“There is no slave who is afflicted with grief and distress at any time and says (the above dua,)
but Allah, the Exalted and Ever-Majestic, will remove his grief and will change his sorrow into
happiness.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah! (Do) we have to learn these words?” He said, “Yes,
whoever hears them should learn them.”

Verses to be recited in Diffuclty
Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz recommends repeating these verses of
poetry/duas especially in times of difficulty. They are recited before and
after Fajr in Dar al-Mustafa and after Isha. He composed them in Madinah
al-Munawwarah on 29th Rabi’ al Awwal 1437 :
‫يَاعُم َْد ِتي ياعُ َّد ِتي يامُ ْن ِق ِذي ِم ْن ِش َّد ِتي‬
You are my reliance, You are my support, You are my saviour from
all hardship
ْ ‫ك ِوجْ َهتِي َع ِ ّج ْل ِب َغ ْو ِثي يا َع ِظ‬

I turn my whole being to You – rush to My Aid, O Most Great!

VIRTUE: Whoever reads this durood 100 times after the Fajr
salah and then gets busy with his daily work, he will find
goodness and barakah in his work, be guided in his Deeni
and Dunya affairs and none of his work will be wasted

‫صلاة تفريج الكروب والصلاة الطبيه مجرب‬
‫تلك اللفظة غير المعتادة للصلاة علي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم‪ ،‬تعود لقصة ما اروعها عن الشيخ الفاضل عبد الحليم‬
‫محمود ‪-‬رحمه الله وأسكنه فسيح جناته‪ -‬أحد من تولوا رئاسة الأزهر الشريف في العهد السابق‪ ،‬وذكرت قصة تلك‬
‫الكلمات في سلسله كتاب اعلام العرب رقم (‪ )72‬دار الكتاب العربي للطباعه والنشر الطبعه الثانيه ديسمبر ‪ 1967‬م‪،‬‬
‫اسم الكتاب ابو الحسن الشاذلي الصوفي الجاهد العارف بالله ‪ 656-593‬ھ‪.‬‬
‫قال صاحب الفضيلة الشيخ الأكبر الدكتور عبد الحليم محمود في كتابه (المدرسة الشاذلية الحديثة) القصة التالية‪:‬‬
‫" في فترة من الفترات‪ ،‬ابتلاني الله بموضوع شق على نفسي وعلى نفس المحيطين بي‪ ،‬واستمر الابتلاء مدة كنا‬
‫نلجأ فيها إلي الله تعالى طالبين الفرج‪ .‬وذات يوم آتى عندي بعض الصالحين ـ وكان على علم بهذا الابتلاء‬
‫ـ وأعطاني ورقة كتب فيها صيغ الصلاة على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وقال‪ :‬اقرأها واستغرق فيها‪.‬‬
‫وكررها منفردا في الليل‪ ،‬لعل الله يجعلها سببا في تفريج هذا البلاء‪ .‬والصيغة هي‪:‬‬
‫ك َس ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّدٍ‪َ ،‬و ْأغ َش ُه‬

‫ام َجم ٍَال‪َ ،‬علٰى حَ ْض َر ِة حَ ِب ْي ِب َ‬ ‫ال‪َ ،‬و َس ّل ِ ْم َس َل َ‬ ‫َاللّٰه َُّم صَ ِّل صَ َلا َة جَ َل ٍ‬
‫ك الْ َ‬
‫ك ِري ِْم‪َ ،‬وبـِحَ ِق ْي َق ِة‬ ‫ات‪ ،‬فَ َن َظ َر إِلٰى َوجْ هِ َ‬‫كمَا َغشِ َي ْت ُه َسحَاب َُة ال َّتجَ ِلّ َي ِ‬ ‫ك َ‬ ‫اللّٰه َُّم ب ِ ُن ْو ِر َ‬

‫واعتكفت في غرفة بعد صلاة العشاء‪ ،‬وأضأت نور الغرفة وأمسكت الورقة بيدي‪ ،‬وأخذت في تكرار الصيغة‬
DUROOD SALAAT JALAAL DUROOD SALAATA JALAAL
For Every Problem and Calamity
Shaykh Abdul Haleem Mahmood, Rahmatullah Alayh For Every Problem and Calamity
the renowned Imam of al Azhar relates:

Once we were afflicted by a calamity from Allah that
Shaykh Abdul Haleem Mahmood,
split my soul and that of our associates. It continued
and we sought refuge from it. One day one of the Rahmatullah Alayh
Saliheen (pious) who was aware of this calamity came
to me and handed me a few sheets of paper on which
were written a formula of Salaat on Rasulullah ‫ﷺ‬. He
،‫ام َجم ٍَال‬ َ ‫ َو َس ّل ِ ْم َس َل‬،‫ال‬ ٍ ‫َاللّٰه َُّم صَ ِّل صَ َلا َة جَ َل‬
advised me to seclude my self and to repeat it and to
be absorbed in reciting it. So I secluded myself in my ‫ َو ْاغ َش ُه اللّٰه َُّم‬،ٍ‫ك َس ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّد‬ َ ‫َعلٰى حَ ْض َر ِة حَ ِب ْي ِب‬
room after Esha salaat and switched on the light of the
room and held those papers in my hands and began ‫ فَ َن َظ َر‬،‫ات‬ ِ ‫كمَا َغشِ َي ْت ُه َسحَاب َُة ال َّتجَ لِّ َي‬ َ ‫ك‬ َ ‫ب ِ ُن ْو ِر‬
to repeat the salaat/durood. Suddenly I saw the letters
of the salaat/durood began to illuminate and shine
with Noor and with this the room was brightened and ‫ َوبـِحَ ِق ْي َق ِة الْـحَ َقائِ ِق‬،‫ك ِري ِْم‬ َ ْ‫ك ال‬ َ ‫إِلٰى َوجْ ِه‬
ُ ‫ َّال ِذىْ َأ َع َاذ ُه ِم ْن‬،‫ك َّل َم مَ ْو َلا ُه الْع َِظ ْي َم‬
these letters kept glittering and shining in the center
of this Noor. I did not trust my eyes so I closed them ‫ك ِّل‬ َ
then opened them a few times but the Noor remained
as it was. Then I placed the papers in front of me and
rubbed my eyes with my hands and still those letters ‫ َأمَّ ْن‬: ‫كمَا َوعَ ْد َت‬ َ ‫ك ْر ِب ْى‬ َ ‫ َاللّٰه َُّم فَ ّ ِر ْج‬،‫ُس ْو ٍء‬
were shining brightly with Noor. I praised Allah and
knew that surely a door of Mercy had been opened ،َ‫الس ْوء‬ُّ ‫كشِ ُف‬ ْ َ‫ي ُِّـج ْي ُب الْـ ُم ْض َط َّر إِ َذا َد َعا ُه َوي‬
and surely this indicated to it. And so it happened
that Allah dispelled this calamity and brought us relief
from it through the miracle/nobleness of these blessed ‫َو َعلٰى آلِهِ َو َص ْح ِب ِه آمين‬

Munawwarah reciting the Holy Qur'an sitting
in Masjid Nabawi when suddenly Moulana
Muhibbullah Saheb Rahimahullah passed by and
saw him. Moulana Muhibbullah came over, took
the Quran out of his hand and put it up in a high
place and said, "When you are in Makkah recite
Qur'aan and when you are here recite durood."
Moulana Ehteshamul Hasan saheb then asked
him which durood gains the special attention of
the Holy Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬and Moulana Muhibbullah
saheb taught him the above durood.

Allahumma salli alaa sayyidinaa Muhammadin 'abdika wa

Rasoolika- alladhi tuhibuhu wa tardaahu wa yuhibuka
wa yardaaka, salaatan laa y'alamu qadrahu siwaaka wa
'alaa aalihi wa sallim wakfinillAllahumma bi halaalik 'an
haraamika wa agh-nini bifadlika amman siwaaka
O Allah send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, Your slave and
Messenger, he whom You love and You are pleased with, and he loves
You and is pleased with You, such a blessing that none knows the value
of besides You and upon his family and send peace! And suffice for me
O Allah with lawful as opposed to the unlawful and enrich me with Your
bounty so that I am independent from anyone other than You

SALĀT AS-SHIFĀ TIBBIL QULŪB
For Every Bodily/Spiritual Illness
Shaykh Sālih al J‘afari � said during one of his
Friday lessons in Al Azhar: Rasulullāh ‫ ﷺ‬placed
his noble hand on my face and said (the following
salawat ) and commanded me to recite it
ٍ ‫ـــل َعلٰى َســـ ِّي ِدنَـا مُ ـحَ ـ َّم‬

‫ــد‬ ِّ ‫َاللّٰــه َُّم َص‬
‫ــب الْ ُـقـلُ ْـو ِب َو َد َوائِـهَــا َو َعافِــ َي ِة ْال َأب َْـدانِ َو ِش َفــائ ِهَــا‬
ِ ّ ‫ِط‬
‫َونُ ْو ِر ْال َأبْ َصــا ِر َو ِض َيــائِهَـــا‬
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā sayyidinā Muḥammadin, ṯibbil
qulūbi wa dawā-ihā, wa āfiyatil abdāni wa shifā -ihā
wa nūril absāri wa ḍiyā-ihā
O Allāh, bless Muhammad, the doctor of the hearts
and their medicine. The wellness of the body and its

DUA OF HADRAT KHAWAJA
BAAQI BILLAH �
For Help in Every Problem and Need
Hadrat Khawaja Baaqi Billah � the Shaykh of
Hadrat Mujaddid Alf-e-Thani (Shaykh Ahmad
Sirhindi) � said: If a person is surrounded on all
sides with disappointments, he should perform two
raka'ts of salah after Zawaal and thereafter recite the
following dua 11 times. Before and after the dua one
should recite Durood Shareef. Insha Allah within 3
days his necessity will be fulfilled
‫َاللّٰــه َُّم َانْ َت الْ َقــا ِد ُر َو َانَا الْـ َم ْق ُد ْو ُر فَم َْن ي َّْد ُع‬
‫الْـ َم ْق ُد ْو ُر ِا َّلا الْ َقـــا ِد َر ي ََار ُّب ي ََار ُّب ي ََار ُّب‬
Allahumma antal Qaadiru wa anal maqdooru fa man
yad'ul maqdooru illaal Qaadira Ya Rabbu

O Allah, You are the Most Powerful and I am
helpless. And from whom can the weak ask, but
from the Most Powerful. O Sustainer, O Sustainer

O Allah exalt our master Muhammad, the best of those
who went on Hajj and Umra and answered Your call,
an exaltation through which You grant me Your love and
his love, and that would be a healing and medicine for
my heart, and that would defend and fight against the
whisperings of Satan, an exaltation through which You
draw me strongly toward the Presence of Nearness, an
exaltation through which I am safe from being distant
from You, and from loss and decrease. And likewise exalt
his family and send him and send them greetings of peace

Six Quranic Verses of Healing: Ayat Ash-Shifa
‫َويَ ْش ِف صُ ُد ْو َر َق ْو ٍم مُّ ْؤ ِمنِي َْن‬

Wa yashfi sudoora qawmin mumineena
1. And [He] shall heal the breast of the believers. (at-Tawba, 9:14)
َ ‫ك ْم َو ِش َفاء لِّمَا فِي الصُّ ُد ْو ِر َو ُه ًدى َّو َر ْحم ٌَة لِّلْم ُْؤ ِمن‬
‫ِين‬ ُ ‫يَا َأيُّهَا ال َّن‬
ُ ْ‫اس َق ْد جَ اءت‬
ُ ِّ‫كم مَّ ْو ِع َظ ٌة ِّمن َّرب‬
Yaa ayyuha an-naasu qad ja’atkum mawìzhatun min rabbikum wa shifaun limaa fee as-sudoori
wa hudan wa rahmatun lil-mumineen
2. Mankind there has come to you a guidance from your Lord and a healing for (the diseases) in your hearts, and for
those who believe a guidance and a mercy.

Yakhruju min butooniha sharaabun mukhtalifun alwaanuhu feehi shifaun lin-naas
3. There issues from within the bodies of the bee a drink of varying colors
wherein is healing for mankind. (an-Nahl, 16:69)
‫َونُنَ ّ ِز ُل ِم َن الْ ُق ْرآنِ مَ ا ُه َو ِش َفاء َو َر ْحم ٌَة لِّلْم ُْؤ ِمنِي َْن‬
Wa nunazzilu mina al-qurani ma huwa shifaun wa rahmatun lil-mumineen
4. And We sent down in the Quran such things that have healing
and mercy for the believers (an-Najm, 17:82)
‫َو ِإ َذا مَ ِر ْض ُت فَه َُو يَ ْش ِفي ِْن‬

Wa idha maridtu fahuwa yashfeeni
5. And when I am ill, it is [He] who cures me.”
(ash-Shuàra, 26:80) (A supplication of Prophet Abraham [as])
‫ُق ْل ُه َو ل ِ َّل ِذينَ آمَ ُنوا ُه ًدى َّو ِش َفاء‬

Qul huwa lil-ladheena amanoo hudan wa shifaun
A Comprehensive Ramadaan Dua
Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬said: "This is a month, the first of which brings Allah's mercy, the middle
of which brings His forgiveness and the last of which brings emancipation from the fire
of Jahannam."
"And in this month four things you should continue to perform in great number,
two of which shall be to please your Lord, while the other two shall be those
without which you cannot do. Those which shall be to please your Lord, are that
you should in great quantity bear witness that there is no deity to worship except
Allah (i.e. recite the Kalimah Tayyibah Laa llaaha illallaah) and make much
Istighfaar beg Allah's forgiveness with Astagirfirul-laah)." And as for those
without which you cannot do, you should beg of Allah, entrance into Jannah and
ask refuge in Him from Jahannam."
The following dua encompases all the above mentioned advices of Rasulullah
sallallahi alayhi wasallam. It should be read throughout the month of Ramadhan
in great abundance.

biwahdatil ahadil Muta‘aali ‘an wahdatil kammi wal ‘adadil Muqaddasi ‘an kulli ahad, wa bihaqqi Bismillahir
Rahmaanir Raheemi Qul huwallahu ahad, Allahus Samad, lam yalid wa lam yulad walam yakun-lahu kufu-
wan ahad, an tusalli ‘alaa sayyidina Muhammadin sirri hayaatil wujoodi was-sababil a ‘zami likulli mawjoodi
salaatan tu-thabbitu fi qalbil Imaana wa tuhaafizunil Qur’aana wa tulhimuni minhul aayaati wa taftahu li
bihaa nooral jannaati wa nooran na’eemi wa nooran-nazri ilaa wajhikal Kareemi wa ‘ala aalihi wa sahbihi
wasallim
O Allah I ask of You by Your greatest pre-ordained name from the light of Your exalted never ending, per-
manently evarlasting, eternal countenance in the heart of Your Nabi and Rasul, our master Muhammad and
I ask of You by Your greatest name, Peerless in its unique oneness, exalted from the singleness of quantity
and numbers, the Pure from every one (thing), and by the truth of ‘In the name of Allah, the Compassionate
the Merciful say Allah is One, Allah the Independent, He begot none’ nor was He begotten. And nor anyone
is equal to Him, that You send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the secret of existent life, and the
greatest cause of all existence, such a blessing that will make Imaan firm in my heart and will enable me to
protect (memorise) the Qu’raan and by which You inspire me with its verses and open for me by it the light
of the Gardens (jannah) and the light of Naeem (bounties/Jannah) and the light of gazing at Your noble
countenance and upon his family and companions be peace.
DUROOD SALAAT JALAAL DUROOD SALAATA JALAAL

the renowned Imam of al Azhar relates:

Once we were afflicted by a calamity from Allah that
Shaykh Abdul Haleem Mahmood,
split my soul and that of our associates. It continued
and we sought refuge from it. One day one of the Rahmatullah Alayh
Saliheen (pious) who was aware of this calamity came
to me and handed me a few sheets of paper on which
were written a formula of Salaat on Rasulullah ‫ﷺ‬. He
،‫ام َجم ٍَال‬ َ ‫ َو َس ّل ِ ْم َس َل‬،‫ال‬ ٍ ‫َاللّٰه َُّم صَ ِّل صَ َلا َة جَ َل‬
advised me to seclude my self and to repeat it and to
be absorbed in reciting it. So I secluded myself in my ‫ َو ْاغ َش ُه اللّٰه َُّم‬،ٍ‫ك َس ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّد‬ َ ‫َعلٰى حَ ْض َر ِة حَ ِب ْي ِب‬
room after Esha salaat and switched on the light of the
room and held those papers in my hands and began ‫ فَ َن َظ َر‬،‫ات‬ ِ ‫كمَا َغشِ َي ْت ُه َسحَاب َُة ال َّتجَ لِّ َي‬ َ ‫ك‬ َ ‫ب ِ ُن ْو ِر‬
to repeat the salaat/durood. Suddenly I saw the letters
of the salaat/durood began to illuminate and shine
with Noor and with this the room was brightened and ‫ َوبـِحَ ِق ْي َق ِة الْـحَ َقائِ ِق‬،‫ك ِري ِْم‬ َ ْ‫ك ال‬ َ ‫إِلٰى َوجْ ِه‬
ُ ‫ َّال ِذىْ َأ َع َاذ ُه ِم ْن‬،‫ك َّل َم مَ ْو َلا ُه الْع َِظ ْي َم‬
these letters kept glittering and shining in the center
of this Noor. I did not trust my eyes so I closed them ‫ك ِّل‬ َ
then opened them a few times but the Noor remained
as it was. Then I placed the papers in front of me and
rubbed my eyes with my hands and still those letters ‫ َأمَّ ْن‬: ‫كمَا َوعَ ْد َت‬ َ ‫ك ْر ِب ْى‬ َ ‫ َاللّٰه َُّم فَ ّ ِر ْج‬،‫ُس ْو ٍء‬
were shining brightly with Noor. I praised Allah and
knew that surely a door of Mercy had been opened ،َ‫الس ْوء‬ُّ ‫كشِ ُف‬ ْ َ‫ي ُِّـج ْي ُب الْـ ُم ْض َط َّر إِ َذا َد َعا ُه َوي‬
and surely this indicated to it. And so it happened
that Allah dispelled this calamity and brought us relief
from it through the miracle/nobleness of these blessed ‫َو َعلٰى آلِهِ َو َص ْح ِب ِه آمين‬

O perfect one, O you whose qualities are beautiful, O furthest limit of aims. O light of the Truth, O sun
of the worlds, O my liege-lord O Muhammad . O my liege-lord O Ahmad , O my liege-lord O Abu'l
Qasim. The majesty of your perfection is beyond what words can say. And the preciousness of your beauty is
beyond the grasp of humans . And the tremendousness of your majesty is beyond what occurs to any mind.
May Allah the Transcendent and Exalted send blessings on you and give you peace. O my liege-lord O
Messenger of Allah, O most magnificent of those through whom the Divine Perfections are disclosed!
O Allah send blessings on our beloved Muhammad, Your shining light and the manifestation of the down-
pour of Your Secret, with whose beauty You adorned existence. And with the delight of whose majesty You
ornamented the ages, from the light of whose reality You began the manifestation of the worlds
And whose perfection You sealed through the secrets of his prophethood, so that images of beauty appeared
out of his overflowing in the best of forms. And were it not for him no image would have appeared to any
eye out of Nothing; none of the starved seek Your rescue through him save that they are filled, and none of
the thirsty save that they are quenched and none of the fearful save that they are made safe, and none of the
needy save that they are delivered; and I am needy seeking Your deliverance: I seek the downpour of Your
Vast Mercy from the treasuries of Your Generosity So save me O Infinitely Compassionate One. O You
Who when He glances with the eye of forbearance and pardon, no fault is visible besides the ever-increas-
ing greatness of His Forbearance and the tremendousness of His Pardon. Forgive me and turn to me, and
overlook what I have done O Generous One!
Virtue: From this durood we realise the great satus of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and in this
durood is also a Dua to Allah for us for forgiveness, mercy and safety.
Note: The Shaykh also praises Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and addresses him not directly in person
as if he is present but rather out of love and yearning and longing. Also he mentions that Rasulullah sal-
lallahu alayhi wasallam is the waseela, inteceder and the means‎through whom duas are accepted and help is
granted from Allah (meaning he is not the one who helps the servant. Only Allah does.)
Intention before reading Salawaat/Durood

Allahumma yaa man ja'altas salaata 'alan nabiyyi minal qurubaati, ataqarrabu
ilayka bikulli salaatin sulliyat 'alayhi min awwalin nash-ati ilaa maa laa ni-
haayati lil kamaalaat
“O Allah, O You who made prayers upon the Prophet among the means of
drawing near! I draw near to You through every prayer sent upon him from
the beginning of creation to boundless perfections!”

And the author of kunooz .. said that if you recite the following salawaat it is like reciting 100,000 salawaat you do dailiy.
Allahuma salli àlaa Sayyidina Muhammad àbdika wa nabiyyika wa rasoolika an-nabiyy al-umiyy wa àla aalihi wa sahbihi
wa sallim bi qadri àzhamati dhaatik fee kulli waqtin wa heen.
That is as if you recited salawaat on the Prophet (saw) 100,000 times the rewards. I will recite it again myself:
Allahuma salli àlaa Sayyidina Muhammad àbdika wa nabiyyika wa rasoolika an-nabiyy al-umiyy wa àla aalihi wa sahbihi
wa sallim bi qadri àzhamati dhaatik fee kulli waqtin wa heen.
And insha-Allah who does that 1000 times that salawaat Allah will give you to see His Manifestations of His Prophet or
your place in Paradise. And if you don't see then try 5 weeks.
Allahuma salii àla Muhammad an-nabiyy al-ummiy jaz-allahu àn Muhammadin maa huwa ahluh.
Very easy, I will repeat it : Allahuma salii àla Muhammad an-nabiyy al-ummiy jaz-allahu àn Muhammadin maa huwa
ahluh. And different salawaat insha-Allah we contine tomorrow next time and we mention the benefits that we began men-
tioning last time. And don't say "We repeat" yes we repeat as these salawaat are repetition of other salawaat that have been
put together. Allah said salloo àlayhi. Allahuma salli àlaa Sayyidina Muhammad (saw) hatta yarda Sayyidina Muhammad
(saw) wa yardaa rabbahu.
Long ago, one wali, Muhammad al-Talmaysani (q), saw the Prophet (s) in a dream. Shaykh Muhammad Telmaysani (q) had read Dala’il al-
times and then he saw the Prophet (s) in the dream, saying to him, “Yaa Muhammad! If you read this salawaat, it will be as if you 100,000 Khayrat
”!times 800,000 read Dala’il al-Khayrat

.yawmi tabàthu man afnayta wa sallim tasleeman katheera wa ‘l-hamdulillahi rabbi 'l-àlameen
times. The daleel is from 100,000 We just read it now as it was given to Muhammad al-Talmaysani (r), and it is as if we read Dala’il al-Khayrat
Sayyidina Àli (r) and this is in the book Nahj al-Mutaqqeen,” and it says, because they are awliyaullah and it is established by what the Prophet
(s) said to them, as they see dream of the Prophet (s) it means they saw him correctly because Shaytan cannot imitate the Prophet’s image. The
hadith mentioned, sa yaraanee, “You will see me.” Imam Suyuti (r) said, “That means you will Prophet (s) him in dunya. It would not refer to
”.akhira, because everyone will see the Prophet (s) in akhirah
Also, if you recite that salawaat three times daily and one-hundred times on Jumuàh, it will be as if you have performed the worship of all human
beings since the time they were created up to Judgment Day! How many human beings are there? How big is the ummah of the Prophet (s)? In
billion people." 400 one dream or vision, Grandshaykh ÀbdAllah al-Fa'iz ad-Daghestani (q) said that the Prophet (s) said to him, "My ummah is
billion! 400 billion. If you add them all up, from the time of Sayyidina Adam (a) to today, it is 1.5 That is ummat an-Nabi (s)! In this century it is
billion, coinciding 400 which is nearly ”,70,000 times 70,000 times 70,000 There is a hadith about that where the Prophet (s) said, “My ummah is
.with what Grandshaykh (q) said
billion, as Sayyidina Àli (r) said, “It is on the number of 400 So if you read that salawaat, (the reward) is on the number of the ummah, which is
all Creation, including the number of non-Muslims, from the time of Adam (a).” It is a huge number! Who recites this three times a day and one-
hundred times on the day of Jumuàh will be raised on Judgment Day with the Prophet (s), who will take his hand until he takes him to his place
!in Paradise
I was curious since a long time ago, because Grandshaykh (q) and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) ordered us to read a salawaat: àla ashrafi
’l-àlameena Sayyidina Muhammad (s) salawaat, àla akmali ’l-àlameena Sayyidina Muhammad salawaat, àla afdali ’l-àlameena Sayyidina
Muhammad (s) salawaat. And I looked through many books and never found that hadith of Sayyidina Àli (r) until I found it in Nahj al-
:Mutaqqeen
Salawaatullaahi wa malaa’ikatihi wa anbiyaaihi wa rusoolihi wa jamièe khalqihi àlaa Muhammad wa àlaa aali Muhammad àlayhi wa àlayhimu
.‘s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuh
About two hundred years ago in Mecca al-Mukarrama, Shaykh ul-Islam of the Shafièe school of thought, Ahmad ibn Zayni Dahlan (r), said that
one of the greatest walis, Abu al-Mawahib ash-Shadhili (q), said, “I saw the Prophet (s) in a dream and told him, ‘Yaa Rasoolullah! Allah will pray
ten times on whoever prays on you one time, isn’t this so?”
That is hadith of the Prophet (s):
‫من صىل عيل مرة صىل الله عليه بها عرشا‬

Man salla àlayya marrah, sallallaahu àlayhi àshara marrah.
Whoever prays on me one time, Allah prays on him ten times. (Sahih)
Imam ash-Shadhili (q) continued, “For the one who prays on you one time, does his heart need to be present or may it be absent? Many people
recite salawaat and at the same time converse with people and the heart is not present but the tongue is making salawaat, so is that acceptable, or
must your heart also be present?” The Prophet (s) said, “Fa qaala laa, it is not necessary. Even someone whose heart is ghaafil, heedless, and not
present with me, if he prays on me one time Allah (swt) will give him mountains of angels.” This means there are an infinite number of angels who
will pray for him and ask forgiveness on his behalf. That is for someone who says, “Allahumma salli àla Sayyidina Muhammad (s) wa àla aalihi
wa sahbihi wa sallim,” and his heart is not with it, but with the people!
In the dream the Prophet (s) continued, “If his heart is present, no one knows what will be given to him except for Allah (swt).” That means the
reward for one such salawaat on the Prophet (s) is beyond any imagination or description! The question in the dream was whether the heart is
present or the heart is heedless: if the heart is heedless, Allah will give the likeness of mountains of angels praying and asking forgiveness on your
behalf, and when someone is reaching to make this connection in their heart, then no one knows what Allah will give!
I will stop here and we will continue next time, but before I end I will mention that there is one salawaat that all of you are already reading and
it will count as if you have read on the number of human beings, as if all human beings on Earth have made salawaat! Grandshaykh (q) said that
salawaat is what Great-Grandshaykh Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani (q) recited. If you are in the presence of the Prophet (s) reciting that salawaat, it
is equal to all human beings from the time of Sayyidina Adam (s) to Judgment Day, making salawaat in the presence of the Prophet (s)! That is the
Sayyid as-Salawaat of Grandshaykh:
Àlaa ashrafi l-àlameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.

Àlaa afdali l-àlameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.
Àlaa akmali l-àlameena Sayyidina Muhammadini ‘s-salawaat.
Salawaatullaahi Taàla wa malaa'ikatihi wa anbiyaa'ihi wa rusoolihi wa jamee` khalqihi àlaa Muhammadin wa àlaa aali Muhammad, àlayhi wa
àlayhimu ‘s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi Taàla wa barakaatuh, wa radiyallaahu tabaraka wa Taàla àn saadaatina as-haabi Rasoolillaahi ajmaèen,
wa àni ’t-tabièena bihim bi-ihsaan, wa àni l-'a'imati l-mujtahideeni ’l-maadin, wa àni l-ùlamaa'i ‘l-muttaqqin, wa àni ’l-awliyaai ’s-saaliheen,
wa àm-mashayikhina fi ‘t-tareeqati n-Naqshbandiyyati l-Àliyya, qaddas Allaahu Taàla arwaahahumu ’z-zakiyya, wa nawwarallaahu Taàla adri-
hatahumu ’l-mubaraka, wa aàdallaahu Taàla àlayna min barakaatihim wa fuyudaatihim daa'iman wa ‘l-hamdulillaahi Rabbi ‘l-àlameen.
That salawaat is one whose rewards the angels are unable to write, as it is written by Allah (swt) Himself!
I would like to mention one more thing, to say that we are not Buddhists or New Age people, but we are Ahlu ‘sh-Shariàh, the People of Islamic
Shariàh! Throughout Islamic History, regarding the Shariàh, you see most of the great scholars are People of Tasawwuf. It is a fact; no one can
argue this as we have a lot of evidence from big scholars. We are not interested in taqleed, imitating Buddhists, with their hands like this or that
(closing fingers and thumbs).
DUROOD / SALAAT AN-NURIYYAH
OF SHAYKH AHMAD AL BADAWI �
Shaykh Muhammad Telmaysani � read Dalaìl ul-Khayrat 100,000 times

and he saw Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬in a dream who said to him, “If you read the
recitation that Ahmad al-Badawi � reads everyday, it would be as if you read
Dalaìl al-Khayrat 800,000 times!”
-Dalaìl al-Khayrat is the most famous book of durood ever written. Shaykh Ahmad al
Badawi � was one of the great Awliya of Egypt)

O Allah! Bless, greet and sanctify our master and liegelord Muhammad ‫ﷺ‬,
the Tree of Original Light, the Sparkle of the Handful of Divine Mercy, the
Best of All Humankind, the Noblest of Physical Frames, the Vessel of the
Lord’s Secrets and Storehouse of the Sciences of the Elect, the Possessor of
the Original Divine Grasp, Resplendent Grace, and Uppermost Rank, under
whose flag line up all the Prophets, so that they are from him and point to
him. Bless, greet and sanctify him and his Family and Companions, to the
number of all that You have ever created, sustained, caused to die and caused to
live again, to the Day You resurrect those You reduced to dust, and greet him
with an abundant and endless greeting. Glory and praise belong to Allah, the
Lord of the Worlds!

Salawāt Tāhiril Fuād

O Allah send Your special blessings upon Muhammad. The pure hearted one
who greatly loved the Lord of mankind. The possesor of concise words, benefi-
cial knowledge and clear lights. He is al Mubasshir who gives glad tidings on Your
behalf and Your brilliant lamp. Most successful amongst the most successful one's.
And the greatest of those who do good. Peace and Mercy be upon him and his
family.

‫صَ َلا ًة ت َ ْـق ِض ْى بِهَا حَ ـاجَ ـات ِنَـــا‬
Allahumma salli alaa Sayyidinaa Muhammadin
salaatan taqdee bihaa haa-jaa-tina
O Allah exalt our master Muhammad, an

exaltation through which You fulfil our needs.

‫‪AND QUICK OPENING -‬‬
‫� ‪Shaykh Salih al Jafari‬‬
‫‪Shaykh Abdul Ghani bin Shaykh Salih al Jafari � said : As for the 'Prayer of Wonderous Relief and‬‬
‫‪Quick Opening - which is by the knower of Allah most high, Shaykh Salih al Jafari � - its virtue can‬‬
‫‪be known from its name. There is nothing quicker than it for removal of worries, relief from distress and‬‬
‫‪expanse in sustenance. As for its share in the world of spiritual elevation and ascent, its secret in bringing‬‬
‫‪ is sure.‬ﷺ ‪about spiritual opening (illumination) is quick, and in arrival at the Messenger of Allah‬‬

‫يم ‪َ ،‬وصَ لَّ ْي َت َعلَ ْي ِه‬‫يم ‪َ ،‬و َوصَ ْف َت ُه ب ِ َانَّ ُه بِالْـ ُم ْؤ ِمنِي َْن َر ُؤ ْو ٌف َّر ِح ْ‬ ‫كلِ ْ‬‫يَ ْن ُظ ُر ُه الْ َ‬
‫ك ِري ْـ ًما َو ُق ْل َت ‪ ( :‬يَا َأيُّهَا َّال ِذيْنَ آمَ ُن ْوا صَ لُّ ْوا َعلَ ْي ِه‬ ‫ك تَـحَ ُّب ًبا َوتَ ْ‬ ‫ك ُت َ‬ ‫َانْ َت َومَ َلائِ َ‬
‫ك الْ َبشِ ي ُْر ال َّن ِذ ْير‪َ ،‬س ِّي ِدنَا َومَ ْو َلانَا‬
‫ك َو َر ُس ْولُ َ‬ ‫ك َونَ ِب ُّي َ‬ ‫َو َس ِلّـ ُم ْوا تَ ْسلِ ْيـ ًما ) َع ْب ُد َ‬
‫اج الْـ ُمن ِْير ‪ ،‬فَصَ ِّل اللّٰه َُّم َعلَ ْي ِه بِ َع َد ِد صَ َلا ِة الْـ ُمصَ لّ ِي َْن‬
‫الس َر ُ‬‫مُحَمَّ ُد بْنُ َع ْب ِد الل ِه ّ ِ‬
‫ك ِّل لَـ ْمحَ ٍة َونَ َف ٍس بِ َع َد ِد‬ ‫َعلَ ْي ِه ِم َن الْ َـخلْ ِق َأ ْج َم ِعي َْن ‪َ ،‬و َعلٰى آلِهِ َو َس ّل ِ ْم ِف ْي ُ‬

DUROOD TAUGHT BY
RASULULLAH ‫ﷺ‬
Habib Ali bin Salim al-Ada'j bin Shaykh Abu Bakar bin Salim
� was at the blessed shubbak (the grille in front of Rawdha
Mubaarak) when he saw Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬in a dream or vision and
asked Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬to teach him a durood. Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬told
him to recite:
‫ُـم صَ ِّل َعلٰى َسـ ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّ ٍد‬ َّ ‫ه‬ ّٰ ‫لل‬ َ
‫ا‬
‫ك ْو ُن‬ ُ َ‫ عَ َد َد مَ ا ي‬،‫الرحْ ـ ٰم ْن‬ َّ ‫حَ ِب ْي ِب‬
‫ان‬ْ ‫ك‬ َ ‫َومَ ا َق ْد‬
Allahumma salli àlaa sayyidinaa Muhammadin
Habibir-Rahmanàdada maa yakuunu wa maa qad kaan
O Allah, bestow Your prayers upon our

Master Muhammad, the Beloved of the Most
Compassionate to the number of things that
will be and that were
DUROOD WHICH RASULULLAH ‫ﷺ‬
ADDED WORDS TO
‫َاللّٰه َُّـم صَ ِّل َعلٰى َسـ ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّ ِد نِ ال َّن ِب ِّي‬
‫ْال ُا ّ ِم ِّي َو َعلٰى اٰلِهِ َو َص ْح ِب ِه َو بَا ِر ْك َو‬
ٌ ‫ـــد مَ ِـج ْي‬
‫ـــد‬ ٌ ‫َسـلِّ ْـم ِان َّ َك حَ ـ ِم ْي‬
Allahumma salli àlaa sayyidinaa Muhammadinin
Nabiyyil Ummiyyi wa àlaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa
baarik wa sallim, Innaka Hameedun Majeed
O Allah, bestow Your special mercy upon
our Master Muhammad, the unlettered Nabi
and upon his family and companions and
send blessings and peace. Surely You are
Praiseworthy, Glorious
The underlined/words Innaka Hameedun Majeed were added

by Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬himself when Hadrat Mawlana Ashraf Sulaymani
� was reciting this durood in Madina Munawwara at the Rawda
Mubaarak.
Mawulana Ashraf Sulaymani � was one of the most senior
Shaykhs of Tabligh of the North-West Frontier Province- NWFP in
Pakistan. He was in the silsilah of Hadrat Mawlana Sayed Sulayman
Nadwi � who was the Khalifa of Hazrat Mawlana Ashraf Ali
Thanwi �
‫س ُه‬ ‫َصلٰو ُة اِبْ ٰره۪ي َم الد ُُّسو ِق ِّى قُد َِّس ِ ُّ‬
‫ب ِْسمِ اللّٰ ِه ال َّر ْح ٰمنِ ال َّرح۪يمِ‬

‫س َم ْكتُومٍ يَا َح ُّى يَا قَ ُّيو ُم‪َ ،‬و َص َّل اللّٰ ُه َع ٰل َس ِّي ِدنَا ُم َح َّم ٍد َو َع ٰل اٰلِه۪ َو َص ْحبِه۪ َو َسلَّ َم‪.‬‬ ‫َم ْح ُجوبًا ب ِِح ِّس‪َ ،‬واك ِْش ْف ِل َع ْن ك ُِّل ِ ٍّ‬
‫َوالْ َح ْم ُد لِلّٰ ِه َر ِّب الْ َعالَم۪ي َن‪.‬‬

‫اللَّ ُه َّم َص ِّل َع َل الذ ِ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ‬
‫َوب َِس ِيِ ِه إِلِيْ َك‪ .‬آ ِم ْن َخ ْو ِف ِوأ ِق ْل َع ْ َث ِت وأ ْذ ِه ْب ُحز ِِن َو ِح ْر ِص َوكُ ْن ِل َو ُخذ ِْن إِلَيْ َك ِم ِّني‪َ .‬وا ْر ُز ِق ِني الْ َف َنا َء َع ِّني‪َ .‬والَ ت َ ْج َعلْ ِني َم ْفتُوناً ِب َنف ِْس‪َ .‬م ْح ُجوباً‬
‫س َم ْكتُومٍ ‪ .‬يَا َح ُّي يَا قَ ُّيو ُم‪.‬‬ ‫ب ِِح ِّس‪َ .‬واك ِْش ْف ِل َع ْن ك َِّل ِ ٍّ‬
‫ﷺ ‪Istighfaar that Rasulullah‬‬

‫‪read abundantly‬‬
‫‪Ibn Ùmar � said: "We used to count that the Messenger of‬‬
‫‪ said 100 times in a (single) gathering:‬ﷺ ‪Allah‬‬
‫َ‬
‫يـــم‬
‫الرح ُ‬‫ِ‬ ‫ُ‬
‫ـــواب َّ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َر ِّب ْاغ ِف ْ‬
‫ـــر لِ ْي َوتُ ْب َعلَ َّي إِن َّ َك أنت الت َّ‬
‫‪Rabbighfirli wa tub àlayya innaka Antat-Tawwaabur-Raheem‬‬
‫‪O Allah forgive me and accept my repentance, for surely‬‬

‫‪You are The Accepter of repentance, The Most Merciful‬‬
‫‪ibn Majah 3814‬‬
‫َر ِّب‪ْ - O Allah, O Sustainer -‬اغ ِف ْ‬

‫ـــر لِ ْي‪Forgive me -‬‬
‫َوتُ ْب َعلَ َّي ‪And accept my repentance/turn to me -‬‬

DUA FOR THE 15 SHA'BAAN
Sayyadatina 'Aisha � narrates that Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬told me:
"On this night recite this Dua and teach it to others as well,
for Jibraeel � has taught it to me:
،‫ــاك ِم ْن َس َخ ِط َك‬ َ ‫ َو َا ُع ْـو ُذ ب ِ ِر َض‬،‫َا ُع ْو ُذ بِع َْف ِو َك ِم ْن ِع َقــاب ِ َك‬

،‫ َلا ُاحْ صِ ْى ث َنَــاءًا َعلَ َي َك‬،‫ـــل َوجْ ـه َُك‬ َّ َ‫َو َا ُع ْو ُذب ِ َك ِم ْن َك ج‬
‫َانْ َت كَ َمــا َاثْنَ َي َت َعلٰى نَ ْفسِ َك‬
Aa'oodhu bi'afwika min 'iqaabika wa a'oodhu bi ridaaka min
sakhatika wa a'oodhu bika minka jalla waj'huk laa uhsee tha-
naa'an 'alayk anta kamaa athnayta 'alaa nafsik.
I seek protection in Your forgiveness from Your punishment,
and I seek shelter in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and I
seek safety in You from You. I cannot fully praise You, You are
as You have praised Yourself. ~ Bayhaqi, Nasai ~
(It is sunnah to recite this dua when in sajdah)

DUA AT THE APPROACH

OF RAMADAAN
Hadhrat Ubaadah bin Saamit � narrates that
Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬used to teach the Sahaabah �
the following Dua at the approach of the Month of
Ramadaan:
َ ‫َض‬
‫ـــان لِ ْى‬ ِّ ‫ـــان َو َس‬
َ ‫ـــل ْم َرم‬ َ ‫َض‬ َ ‫َاللّٰ ـ ـه َُّم َس ِلّـ ْمــ ِن ْى ل ِ َـرم‬
ً ‫َو َسـلّـ ِ ْم ُه ِل ْى مُ َت َـق َّب‬
‫ـــلا‬
Allahumma Sallimnee Liramadaana Wa Sallim
Ramadaana Lee Wa Sallimhu Mutaqabbala
O Allah! Safeguard me for the Month of Ramadaan,
and safeguard the Month of Ramadaan for me and
accept it from me. (Kanz-ul-ummal)

Salaams be upon he whose fellow countrymen harassed him

‫‪The Ruling of Requesting Others to Supplicate for you.‬‬
‫‪Hadeeth #373: Umar b. al-Khattaab (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) said:‬‬
‫ض اللَّ ُه َع ْن ُه ق ََال‪ْ :‬استَأْ َذن ُْت ال َّنب َِّي َص َّل اللَّ ُه َعلَيْ ِه َو َسلَّ َم ِف الْ ُع ْم َر ِة فَأَ ِذ َن ِل َوق ََال لَ تَ ْن َس َنا يَا أُخ ََّي ِم ْن ُد َعائِ َك فَق ََال كَلِ َم ًة َما‬
‫َع ْن ُع َم َر َر ِ َ‬
‫شكْ َنا يَا أُخ ََّي ِف ُد َعائِ َك‬‫يت َع ِاص ًم بَ ْع ُد بِالْ َم ِدي َن ِة فَ َح َّدث َ ِني ِه َوق ََال أَ ْ ِ‬
‫س ِن أَ َّن ِل ِب َها ال ُّدنْ َيا – ق ََال شُ ْع َب ُة ث ُ َّم لَ ِق ُ‬
‫يَ ُ ُّ‬
‫‪I sought permission from the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) to perform Umrah, so he permitted me and‬‬
‫‪said: “Do not forget us, O young brother, in your supplication.” So he said to me these words that were more‬‬
‫‪precious to me than the whole world.‬‬
‫‪In a narration, he said:‬‬
‫”‪“Include us in your supplication, O young brother.‬‬

‫‪The author an-Nawawee (rahimahullaah) said: The hadeeth is Saheeh (authentic), narrated by Abu Daawood,‬‬
‫‪and at-Tirmidhee, who said: It is Hasan-Saheeh.‬‬
‫‪ -‬عن حنظلة بن حذيم قال ‪ :‬وفدت مع جدى حذيم إىل رسول الله (ص) فقال يا رسول الله ‪ :‬إن يل بنني ذوى لحى وغريهم وهذا أصغرهم فأدناين‬
‫رسول الله (ص) ومسح رأيس وقال ‪ :‬بارك الله فيك قال الذيال ‪ :‬فلقد رأيت حنظلة يؤىت بالرجل الوارم وجهه أو الشاة الوارم رضعها فيقول بسم الله‬
‫عىل موضع كف رسول الله (ص) فيمسحه فيذهب الورم ‪ ،‬رواه الطرباين يف األوسط والكبري بنحوه وأحمد يف حديث طويل ورجال أحمد ثقات‪.‬‬

Allahumma salli àla roohi Sayyidina Muhammad fil-arwaahi wa àla jasadihi fil-
ajsaadi wa àla qabrihi fil-quboori wa àla aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallim.
O Allah! Shower Your Blessings on the soul of Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬amongst

all souls, on the heart of Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬amongst all hearts, and on
the body of Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬amongst all bodies, and on the grave of
Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬amongst all graves.”
VIRTUE: Allamah Sakahawi � in his al-Qowlul Badi related that Rasulullh ‫ﷺ‬
said:
Whoever sends blessings on the soul of Muhammad amongst all souls and
upon the body of Muhammad among all bodies and upon the grave of
Muhammad among all graves will see me in a dream, whoever sees me ‫ ﷺ‬in
the dream will see me ‫ ﷺ‬On the Day of Judgment, whoever sees me ‫ ﷺ‬on
the Day of Judgment I ‫ ﷺ‬will intercede for him, whoever I ‫ ﷺ‬intercede for
will drink from my ‫ ﷺ‬basin, the Hawd al-Kawthar in Paradise, and whoever
drinks from al-Kawthar will be prohibited from entering Hellfire.
Allamah Sakhawi � writes further, 'Abdul Qaasim Bastee � quoted this
hadeeth in his book but upto now I have not been able to discover the origin
thererof. (Fazaail durood)

VIRTUE: Imam Shaàrani (and also Imam Sakahawi in his al-Qowlul

Badi) related that Rasulullh ‫ ﷺ‬said:

Imam ash-Shaàrani further said:
I said to myself, “I must recite this,” and I recited it before I slept and kept re-
citing until I fell asleep. I looked at the moon and saw the Prophet’s ‫ ﷺ‬hon-
orable face, and I spoke with him. Then 'ghaba fi ‘l-qamar'- I felt he ‫ ﷺ‬was in
the moon until he disappeared. I asked Allah ‫ ﷻ‬that for sake of this salawat,
give me all the favors He gives, not the normal provision but the one He gave
to His Beloved One, Sayyidina Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬that he promised to every
mu’min, and I felt that I am getting it.

Durood from Hadith for full measure of
rewards and for seeing Rasulullah ‫ﷺ‬
Virtue 1
Abu Hurairah � reported Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬as sayings: if anyone would
like to have the fullest measure granted to him when he invokes
blessings on us, the members of the prophet’s family, he should say:
ِ ‫اجـــ ِه ُأ َّمه‬
‫َات الْـ ُم ْؤ ِمنِــي َْن‬ َ
ِ ‫ــد نِ ال َّن ِــب ِّي َوأ ْز َو‬ ِّ ‫ُـــم َص‬
ِ ‫ـــل َعلٰى مُ ـحَ ـ َّم‬ َّ ‫َاللّٰه‬
َ ‫ـــرا ِهي ْـ‬
‫ــم‬ َ ْ ‫ك َمـــا صَ لَّي ْـ َت َعلٰى ِآل ِإب‬ َ ‫َو ُذ ّ ِريَّـــتِ ِه َو َأ ْه ِل بَ ْيـتِـــ ِه‬
َ َّ‫إِن‬
‫ك حَ ـ ِم ْي ٌــد مَّ ِـجـ ْي ٌــد‬
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadinin Nabiyyi wa azwaajihi
ummahaatil mu-mineena wa dhurriyatihi wa ahli baytihi kamaa
sallayta 'ala Ibraheem innaka Hameedun Majeed
O Allah, bless Muhammad, the Prophet, his wives who are the
mother of the faithful, his off spring, and the people of his house as
You did bless the family of Ibraheem. You are indeed Praiseworthy
and Glorious. (Abu Dawud)
Virtue 2
Apart from the above virtue mentioned in the hadith, the Mashaaikh say
that from the great benefits of this durood is that whoever learns it and
recites it 100 times a day or more, (preferably before sleeping) it will be
a means of him seeing Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬in a dream. This has been tried and
experienced by many of the muslimeen and they have have been granted
the good fortune of seeing Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬in a dream (by virtue of reciting
it).
‫ِم َن الْ َف َوائِ ِد الْ َع ِظي َم ِة أَ َّن َم ْن َحافَ َظ َعىل ِصي َغ ٍة يف الصَّال ِة عىل ال َّنب ِِّي صىل الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ َها يف الْيَومِ ِمائَ َة َم َّر ٍة أَ ْو أَك َ َْث كَا َن‬
‫عن ابن عباس قال ‪ :‬كان مما دعا به النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم‬
‫في حجة الوداع ‪ “ :‬اللهم إنك تسمع كلامي ‪ ،‬وترى مكاني‬
‫‪ ،‬وتعلم سري وعلانيتي ‪ ،‬لا يخفى عليك شيء من أمري ‪ ،‬أنا‬
‫البائس الفقير ‪ ،‬المستغيث المستجير ‪ ،‬الوجل المشق ‪ ،‬المقر المعترف‬
‫بذنبي ‪ ،‬أسألك مسألة المسكين ‪ ،‬وأبتهل إليك ابتهال المذنب‬
‫الذليل ‪ ،‬وأدعوك دعاء الخائف الضرير ‪ ،‬دعاء من خضعت‬
‫لك رقبته ‪ ،‬وفاضت لك عيناه ‪ ،‬وذل لك جسده ‪ ،‬ورغم‬
‫لك أنفه ‪ ،‬اللهم لا تجعلني بدعائك شقيا ‪ ،‬وكن بي رءوفا‬
‫رحيما ‪ ،‬يا خير المسئولين ويا خير المعطين “‬

Allaahumma innaka tasma‘u kalaamee, wa taraa makaanee, wa ta‘lamu sirree wa“

‘alaaniyatee, wa laa yakhfaa ‘alayka shay’un min ’amree, wa ’anal-baa’isu al-faqeer,
al-mustaagheethu al-mustajeer, al-wajilu al-mushfiqu al-muqiru al-mu‘tarifu ilayka
bi-dhambih. As’aluka mas’alata al-miskeen, wa’abtahilu ilayka ibtihaal al-mudhni-
bi idh-dhaleel, wa ad‘ooka du‘aa’ al-khaa’ifu ad-dareer, du‘aa’a man khada‘at laka
raqabatuhu, wa dhalla laka jismuhu, wa raghama laka anfuh. Allaahumma laa taj‘al-
nee bidu‘aa’ika shaqeeyaa, wa kun beeya ra’oofaa, ya khairal-mas’ooleen, wa khai-
”.ral-mu‘teen
“O Allaah, You hear my words, and You see my place. You know my se-
cret and manifest. Nothing of me is hidden from You. I am the misera-
ble, poor one appealing for protection. I am the frightened, pitiful one
acknowledging and confessing to You his sins. I beg You the begging
of a needy one and I implore you the imploring of a humiliated sinful
one. And I invoke you the invocation of the ailing fearful one, a prayer
of one whose neck has bowed to You, whose tears of pain have flooded
his eyes, whose body has in servitude humbled itself to you and whose
pride has been lowered to the ground for you. O Allaah, let not my share
in Your prayer be misery, and be compassionate to me, O Most-Respon-
sive of those who are asked, and O Most-Giving of those who give.”

Hanzalah bin Hidyam RA said: I went with my grandfather

Hidyam RA to Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬and he bade me to come near
him and touched my head and said: Baarakallahu feek -Al-
lah bless you.
The narrator who heard this from hanzalah said: I have seen
Hanzalah take a man with a swollen face or a sheep with a
swollen udder and say ' Bismillah, and on the place where
rested the palm of Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬, then he would touch that
spot (that Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬touched and then touch the afflict-
ed person and the swelling would dissappear

DUA TO BE READ ON LAYLATUL QADR

I seek the forgiveness of Allah the The Magnificent,
and may Allah's blessings be upon the Noble Nabi
VIRTUE: When wrong actions weigh you down, recite this

simple and 'easy on the tongue' istighfaar. Allah readily
accepts durood and Insha Allah ‫ ﷻ‬He will also accept the
istighfaar and tawba together with it as well.

1000 TIMES ON FRIDAY
Hadrat Zayd bin Wahab � relates that Hadrat Ibn Masud
� said: Dont leave out sending blessings on Rasulullah
‫ ﷺ‬on the day of Jumah 1000 times by reciting :
‫ـــل َعلٰى مُحَمَّ ِد نِ ال َّن ِــب ِّي ْال ُا ّ ِم ّ ِى‬

Allahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadinin Nabiyyyil ummiyi
O Allah send Your blessings upon the unlettered Nabi
Hilyatul Awliya- Abu Nuaym
The following two duroods have also been

mentioned by the Mashaaikh who have said
that whoever reads them 1000 times on the
dayof jumah will not die until he sees his place
in jannah.

It is related from Musa bin Talha who says I asked Zayd bin Khaarijah �, he

O Allah send Your blessings upon our Master Muhammad and his family,
O Allah send Your blessings upon him who said night and day:
O Rabb (Sustainer), My Ummah, O Rabb, My Ummah,
O Rabb, My Ummah, O Rabb, My Ummah
DUROOD OF HAZRAT SHAYKH ZAKARIYYA �
TO ATTAIN THE VISION OF RASULULLAH ‫ﷺ‬

ِ‫ـــل َعلٰى َســـ ِّي ِدنَا مُحَمَّ ٍد َّو آلِهِ ِب َق ْد ِر حُ ْسنِ ِه َوجَ ـ َمالِه‬
Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa aalihi bi qadri husnihi wa jamaalihi
O Allah send Your blessings upon our Master Muhammad and his family,
as great as his Excellence and his Beauty
Virtue: Hazrat Shaykhul Hadith Mawlana Muhammad Zakariyya � was once

asked for a durood to enable one to see Rasulullah ‫ ﷺ‬in a dream. Hazrat �
advised the questioner to read the durood mentioned in his book Shamail
Tirmidhi (the durood above which is mentioned at the end of the first chapter)

‫ِب َح ِّق نَ ِب ِّي َك َواألَنْ ِب َيا ِء ال َِّذي َن ِم ْن قَ ْب ِل‪ ،‬فَ ِإنَّ َك أَ ْر َح ُم ال َّر ِ‬
‫ض اللَّ ُه ت َ َع َال َع ْن ُه ْم ‪.‬‬‫يق َر ِ َ‬ ‫الص ِّد ُ‬ ‫َوأَبُو بَ ْك ٍر ِّ‬
*‫طبيبي قريب هل سقامي تسمع* يقابلني يومي املقفي املشفع‬
)My doctor is nearby, does my sickness hear (him
He [Prophet] intercessor and guide to all meets me today
*‫أراين إذاماجئت يوما محمدا* تحقق آمايل كام اتوقع‬

I observe myself whenever I meet him
My desires are granted in full
*‫محمد خريالعاملني وسيلتي* أتاك خديم ضارع يتشفع‬

O Muhammad, the best of creatures my intermediary
A servant has come to you seeking for your intercession
*‫أتيت بصنوى ثم اهيل وإلديت* رساعا وحول الهاشمى نتجمع‬

I came with my son, my family my children
]Swiftly gathered around [you] Hashimiyi [of Hashemite tribe
*‫وخلفي جموع ينتمون لحزبكم* يعمهم التشفيع أجمع أكتع‬

And behind me are crowds belonging to your group
Hoping he] will extend intercession to all those affiliated to me[
*‫أيانفس ادركت اآلماىن فهذه* مرابع خريالناس والنور يسطع‬

O soul you have achieved safety for
Treading the land of the best of mankind where the light shines
*‫فألقت عصاها واستقرت بها النوى* ونلت املنى مابال عينك تدمع‬
]So your [pilgrimage] staff does throw and was stabilized by the nuclei [cores
?And your wishes have been fulfilled why does your eyes shed tears
*‫ومابال هذ ا الشوق والشمل جامع* وذاالحبل موصول فامالوصل مينع‬

)Why is this yearning so intense when I am already connected(with him physically already
And the connection is secured/guaranteed , it can no more be severed
*‫ولو صوروين يف الحقيقة مل يروا* سوى شخص محبويب به أمتتع‬

If they had depicted me in [divine] reality they would not see
But only [the prototype] personality of my beloved [Prophet] with whom I rejoice
*‫فباعث ابراهيم للشوق واحد* فلست أثنيه ومل اك أجمع‬

For the [divine] dispatcher of Ibrahim for the sake of affection is only one
I will neither make him two, nor make him multiples
*‫وهو املصطفى خري الخالئق احمد* به قوت روحي عنده القلب يخشع‬
]He is Al-Mustapha [the chosen one] the best of creatures [Ahmad
Dua of Rasulullah ‫ﷺ‬
For: Doing good actions, leaving sins, love for the poor,
forgiveness,mercy, a good end and love for Allah and His friends
‫ َوحُ َّب‬،‫ات‬ ِ ‫ك َر‬ َ ‫ك الْ ُم ْن‬ َ ‫ َوتَ ْر‬،‫ات‬ ْ ‫ك فِ ْع َل‬

ِ ‫ال َخي َْر‬ َ ُ‫َاللّٰــه َُّم إِ ِنّ ْي َأ ْس َأل‬
َ ‫ َو ِإ َذا َأ َر ْد َت فِ ْت َن‬،‫ َوتَ ْرحَ ـ َمنِ ْي‬،‫ َو َأ ْن تَ ْغ ِف َــر ِل ْي‬،‫اكي ِْن‬
‫ـــة َق ْو ٍم فَ َت َــوفَّنِ ْي َغي َْر‬ ِ ‫الْم ََس‬
‫ـــربُـــ ِن ْي‬ َ
‫ق‬ ُ ‫ي‬ ‫ل‬ ‫م‬ ‫ـ‬‫ع‬َ ‫ب‬
َّ ُ‫ح‬‫و‬ ،‫ك‬َ ‫ب‬ ِ

َ ‫ِإلٰى حُ ِّب‬

Allahumma innii as'aluka fi'lal khairaat wa tarkal munkarat wa hubbal masaakeen wa an
taghfirali wa tarhamani wa idhaa aradata fitnatan fi qawmin fatawaffani ghaira maftuunin wa
as'aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuka wa hubba 'amalin yuqaribuni ilaa hubbika
"O Allah! I ask You for the means to do good, to avoid evil, and to love the
poor, and I beseech You to forgive me and have mercy on me. When You
subject my people to a trial, cause me to die without being affected by it. O
Allah! I ask Your love, the love of those who love You, and the love of all such
actions that bring one closer to Your Love." (Tirmidhi)

and peace, and remove the grief of my heart in this
world and the hereafter
