KNITTING Put your fidgeting fingers to use before the cold weather hits! All are welcome to the Knitting Circle. Learn
D118 beginning stitches and create a scarf. Already know the basics? Bring in your latest project or start your first
Ms. Tomich sweater. It’s relaxing, good for the brain, and will let you make warm gifts for friends and family.

Hacky Sack is an inexpensive, non-competitive game that improves coordination and teaches cooperative play.
The object is to juggle a bean bag with feet, head, knees—even your chest and back—and pass it off to your
HACKY SACK friends. No one is called “out” for mistakes; no one is a star or captain. Just don’t use your hands and stay
D106 positive. Beginners will learn the basic kicks and moves. As players advance, they will develop their own
Mr. Wilkinson signature moves like The Rainbow, The Cyclone Footsy, and The Jester. All students will participate in
encouraging others and bragging about the awesome moves that they saw someone else do.

Do you have school spirit? If so, try out for FCH3’s award-winning cheer team. Our cheer team will participate
FCH3 in school events such as pep assemblies and after school events. We also compete against other middle school
CHEER TEAM cheer teams. All team members are expected to attend every practice. When you become a member of FCH3’s
Ms. Adzima cheer team you are making a commitment to becoming Francis C. Hammond Middle School’s brightest and
& Ms. Blake best!
*Please look for flyers in the hallways for information on cheerleading clinics and tryout times.*
