HEMATOPOIESE - FORMATION OF BLOOD CELLS
ABSTRACT
The study of Hematopoiesis is very important for the understanding of the formation of
blood cells and systematization of anemias and their differential diagnoses. It also
involves the formation of three phenomena related to blood cells - thrombopoiesis,
erythropoiesis and myelopoiesis. There are several other uses of this important science
linked especially to the health area. It is essential for colleges and universities, and even
the MEC (Ministry of Education) itself, suggest its practical and theoretical definition in
the curricula of these institutions of higher education. Most of these cells actually work
as if they were soldiers, they protect our body against external and internal agent, that
is, agent foreign to our body. The subject of this article deals with the study of this
important barrier found in blood platelets and its formation in the early embryonic life, a
critical view of the written findings of Professor Therezinha F. Lorenzi - Manual of
Hematology and Clinics, 4th Edition, 2006. Known also as Hemopoese, Hematopoese is
the process of forming blood cells, and this is related to all stages of cell production,
from maturation to proliferation, begin to form between the seventh and eighth week of
gestation of life of the fetus and are grouped in the yolk sac and lodged in the spleen
and liver of the embryo. Their formation is linked only to a cell called pluripotent or
simply stem cells, considering the stimulation they receive in every phase of life - stem
cells are precursors of all myelocite and lymphocyte origin cells in internal chemical
activities - in the process occurs in cycles in our body on different growth factors.

A parte
Assim, Therezinha F. Lorenzi ( Manual De Hematologia e Clínica, 2006, 4 )
