TamTam is a unique system with original business model where you do not have any recurring fees for the
bandwidth you need for your customers. Thanks to the satellite links, TamTam is available everywhere in
the countries we cover and you can install your Service Provider where you want. The TamTam business
model was developed specially for emerging markets. The TamTam kit includes everything you will need to
deliver performing Internet access up to 6kms around your installation.

TamTam service plans for end users:

Each TamTam unit is able to deliver up to 10 Mbit/s downlink and 512 Kbit/s uplink. The Hotspot is able to
have up to 128 simultaneous users connected through Wi-Fi. Customer’s services plans are for one hour,
one day, one week or one month, and they are two speeds available: 512 Kbit/s or 2 Mbit/s for each
voucher. There is no volume limitations on the services proposed, but a Fair Use Policy (FUP) rule applies
for an equitable regulation of the bandwidth between all the users on the Network.

The TamTam system is a full

outdoor system that can be
installed on the roof of any
house or shop. The users are
able to connect to the internet
through their Wi-Fi Smartphone,
Tablet or PC, or through any 2.4
GHz Wi-Fi device available. Long
distance users can be connected
up to 6 km line of sight (LOS)
with the additional TamTam end-
user CPE available.

The Manager will be able to customize at any time, through the TamTam application, the captive portal for
their local customers. He will be able to precise the full coordinates of the store, open hours, and also place
a picture of his choice (logo, picture of the shop, promotional offer...). The captive portal will be available
for any end-user connecting to the hotspot with any type of device (responsive interface).

Customers are buying vouchers with the service plan of their choice, in the local
money of the country through two options:

- Online with any electronic application available in the country having a

partnership with Afrique Telecom: Visa, PayPal, Orange Money …
- In the shop where the TamTam owner will sell a service plan and give access
codes, or print a voucher with the printer dedicated to this option

Once the end-user made his purchase he will be able to access to the Internet at the speed (best effort) he
chose. There is no volume limitation on the service plans Afrique Telecom delivers, but there is a Fair Use
Policy (FUP) rule that apply for all the customers dedicated to a good use of the shared bandwidth between
them.

The TamTam network is one unique pan-African network, and the bandwidth belongs to Afrique Telecom.
This give to the customers the possibility to have roaming available on any TamTam, so any voucher bought
will be useable on any TamTam located in Africa. This is a nice option for any traveler over Africa.

FAIR USE POLICY RULES:

When the user begins to take the bandwidth, he’s able to go to the maximum speed corresponding to the
service plan. Each minute he’s using bandwidth, the TamTam software analyses how much of the maximum
level he’s using. If this level is over 80% of the maximum level, we reduce the maximum for the next period
to 90% of the maximum, and so on for any successive period until he will be at the minimum level
dedicated to service plan (64Kbit/s for Basic, and 128Kbit/s for Premium). On the other hand, if the user is
not using more than 20% of the maximum during the period he will be upgraded to 110 % for the next
period until the maximum of the service plan. Using this rules of FUP, made the network equitable and
prevent from abuse any customer. People are able to use video or voice applications correctly but not all
day. They can’t use the network for P2P applications or huge download while this system is not dedicated
to such type of application.

TAMTAM MANAGEMENT BY THE OWNER:

The owner will have a permanent Internet access to his management interface (Extranet), even if he’s not
using a voucher for himself. The extranet application is able to provide access to any hotspot of the owner
(for multi hotspots customers) with only one interface for the global management.

The application delivers a lot of functionalities like:

- Captive portal configuration

- Service plans buy and sale
- Voucher printing
- Signal levels controls
- Usage controls : live online users
- Statistics : revenues, net margin , per day, per week , per month
- Financial transactions historic
- Fleet management for multi-hotspot owners with fund transfers

Each hotspot is managing a credit line with Afrique Telecom. The credit line will be the financial link
between the two parties

- The credit line will be increased by :

o Wire transfers or deposit from the owner to Afrique Telecom
o Electronic transfers with VISA, PayPal, or any available system in the country
o Commissions for vouchers bought directly to Afrique Telecom by customers
- The credit line will be decreased by :
o Wire transfers from Afrique Telecom to the owner
o Service plan bought (at the reseller price) for customers.

The end user might be connected by Wi-Fi with any normalized equipment. If you want to connect users
living far from the hotspot, Afrique Telecom proposes a long distance CPE delivering connectivity up to
6 kms line of sight of the TamTam antenna.

This antenna is validated by Afrique Telecom, easy to install and very powerful for long distance users
wanting to be connected in a monthly service plan at home or work essentially. Two CPEs are included in
the starter kit.
