As a kid, I often overlooked my dad’s wisdom. But

Built in the 1970s, this small, square kitchen got a
budget-wise revival. The cabinets are painted pale blue
and old linoleum is covered by wood-look tiles.

Traci likes to shop online, but not so much for
storage containers. “I find that good, attractive
storage can be a lot of trial and error, so I take the
dimensions of the space where I need storage and
then shop locally,” she says. “I can easily take the
