2. Primary tests

2.1 Test with L1 grounded at generator bus duct.

- 1 phase short circuit to ground on the Generator terminal.
- Block diff protection and unbalanced load protection.
- Block the Generator Circuit Breaker for ON command.
- The Generator is in service with manual excitation.
- Increase the excitation until one of the two ground protection
trips the GCB and turbine.
- Block the stator ground protection that tripped and restart the
turbine. Increase the excitation until the other stator ground
protection trips the GCB and turbine.
- Remove 1-phase short circuit.
