Materials
Yarn/wool: I have used Catania yarn from Schachenmayr in white (0106), dark
brown (0162), yellow (0208) and black color (0110).
Crochet hook: 3.0 mm

Important Notes
All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral except Sam’s wings (follow the
description). Do not join or turn, unless instructed otherwise
You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds
Take your time to create your amigurumi’s face, it is a very important part of the
final result
While stuffing take care to give each part a nice shape

With tapestry needle and white yarn create the eyebrow on the head. Hold the body so, that
the round’s starting point is facing downward. The eyebrow starts slightly above the
starting point of the head and the seam goes till the 9th round. The distance between the
ends of the two eyebrows is 9 stitches. Form the eyebrows carefully with your hands before
you start stitching. When you are satisfied with the result, pass the needle from side to
side of the eyebrow, pulling the yarn a bit, as you see on the pictures.

Beak
With yellow:
FO; cut the yarn, fold it to half and with invisible stitches sew it to the head. (see
images below)
Lower beak
With yellow:

Eyes
With invisible stitches sew the iris to each eyeball. Sew the eyes to the head.

Feathery neck
Start to work at the round where the color changes from white to brown.

Tail feathers

Make all 4 of them. Place them in the hole that remained at the end of the body (they
should overlap a bit each other, like a shingles).With invisible stitches and brown yarn sew
it to the body.

Sam’s wings are not made in a continuous spiral. Please, follow exactly the following

Stuff the main part of the wings and sew it on the body with invisible stitches.

Legs and talons
FO; close the hole by leading the thread through the 3 stitches, pull it tight and
wave the yarn tail into the talon.
With brown:
FO. Sew the talons to the legs, stuff the legs and sew them with brown yarn to the body.
