MAJOR Performance Task: Story Telling (Myth/Legend)

Goal:

Students are grouped (6 - 8 members) to story tell/narrate a chosen myth/legend to the Grade 1 pupils through different media
which shows appreciation of the literature of the past that affects our present situation.

Role:
Effective Story tellers/Narrators

Audience:
Grade 1 pupils, Classmates, Teachers

Situation:
Your school is going to hold a literary festival, and the Grade 7 students have decided to contribute to this festival by putting up
a story telling contest that they already composed/rewritten from a myth/legend that they have chosen. Your class is assigned
to story tell/narrate a chosen myth/legend to the Grade 1 pupils through different media as a means of preserving the
literature of the past to be handed down from today’s generation to the next generation in order to construct understanding of
reality and appreciation of one’s identity.

Product:
Storybook(Big book) of the chosen story (myth/legend )

Standard:
 Memorize your role in the script with correct intonation and pitch, pronunciation and punctuation and hand body
coordination
 Mastery of your piece, resourcefulness and creativity in telling the story through different media as a means for
entertainment.
 A storybook of the said story must be handed in during the presentation.
