1.What do you think are the benefits and drawbacks of the media.

One of the most important advantages of social media is certainly the speed and efficiency in which
it allows communication between people. For example, in the 2015 protests which took place in
Romania, after the Collective Club fire, social media played a vital role in communication. Many of
the protesters were young men and women, students, and they organized the protests using social
media. The plans of where and how the protests would take place spread through social media
accounts rapidly, staging some of the biggest protests that Turkish people had witnessed in the
country's history.

This is a great example of how social media can be used for change and for public mobilization.
Similar examples took place during the Arab Spring and other incidents across the world. Social
media has given people, especially the new generation which is very computer savvy, a new and
effective instrument to come together for issues they believe in.

Social media users have free rein to post whatever they want. This means that satisfied customers
can leave glowing reviews on pages, but it also means that unhappy ones can leave angry rants
about your business.

Some of this negative feedback could come from within organization. Disgruntled employees have
been known to vent on social media about work and their bosses.

permite comunicarea între oameni. De exemplu, în 2015 protestele care au avut loc în România,
dupa incendiul din Clubul Colectiv, social media a jucat un rol vital în comunicare. Mulți dintre
protestatari au fost tineri și femei, studenți, și au organizat protestele folosind mediile sociale.
Planurile unde și cum s-ar desfășura protestele s-au răspândit rapid prin conturile mass-media
sociale, organizând unele dintre cele mai mari proteste pe care le-au asistat turcii în istoria țării.

Acesta este un exemplu foarte bun pentru modul în care media socială poate fi utilizată pentru
schimbare și mobilizare publică. Exemple similare au avut loc în timpul primăverii arabe și a altor
incidente din întreaga lume. Social media a dat oamenilor, în special noii generații care este foarte
inteligentă la computer, un instrument nou și eficient de a se uni pentru problemele în care cred.
