Halsey in Bali: No more Nusa Dua show, singer to headline Sunny Side Up Festival at Potato Head instead
There’s been a change in Halsey’s
schedule, but don’t worry, Bali — she’s
still coming to party.
The Bad at Love singer will still be
performing on our island on August 12,
but instead of a concert at the
Manarai Beach Club in Nusa
Dua as previously publicized,
Halsey will be headlining day two
of the Sunny Side Up Festival at
Potato Head Beach Club on the
same date.
Indonesian event organizer
Ismaya Live confirmed the
show’s change-up with Coconuts
Bali on Monday, June 25.
The organizer previously
announced in May that Halsey
would do the show in Nusa Dua
as a part of her four-continent
Hopeless Fountain Kingdom
Tour, with Indonesian R&B up-
and-comer NIKI.
And, good news — NIKI, who has
previously collaborated with the likes of
Rich Brian (formerly known as Rich
Chigga), will still be opening for Halsey
at her Sunny Side Up show.
Sunny Side Up is a boutique music
festival founded in 2014, that’s
brought big music acts like Mark
Ronson, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, and
Flight Facilities to light it up in Bali’s
most happening of hoods, Seminyak.
Usually taking place over a weekend,
this year the festival will be split up into
two days, July 21 and August 12.
For the July show, Sunny Side Up has
so far announced Nicky Murphy, Moon
Boots, and Basenji, among others to
take the stage.

snagged the first one in Canggu.
We’ve dined on Saganaki, eaten our
weight in pita bread and jigged to
Zorba’s Dance with a belly full of
baklavas. All just to give you the full
scoop on newly opened Santorini
Greek Restaurant Bali. Bringing you the
most authentic recipes from the
stunning Greek Island - this family
owned & run restaurant is worth
smashing plates over.
You know the drill when it comes to
greek food – olives, feta, meaty
delicacies, wrap it all up in a toasted
pita bread and you’re good to go. The
crew at Santorini have got this thing
down pat.
Wet your appetite with the mixed
dipping plate. Delish house made
tzatziki, eggplant, hummus & garlic
dips, accompanied with pita of course.
Bread in one hand, glass of vino in the
other.. If you stare hard enough at the
mural and sea of blue & white décor,
you can imagine yourself taking in a
picturesque Santorini sunset from the
cliff face. Ahhh serenity..
If eating spinach pie is wrong, then I
don’t wanna be right. Your classic
spinach & feta combo wrapped up in
the most mouth-watering of filo
pastries. The best you’ve ever had, just
don’t tell Yia Yia – that’s Greek for
grandma for those of you playing at
home.
Beef, chicken or pork – all are
marinated in-house, drizzled with olive
oil and made to order. Traditional meats
on a vertical rotisserie, known as Gyros
– are best served with a side of greek
salad, fries, tzatziki and, you guessed it
– pita bread. The Gyros Plate with
chicken was everything and then some
in our books. Opa!
For a real Tour De Greece, may we
recommend the Mix Grill. Flame grilled
skewers of pork, chicken & beef,
served with chicken or pork gyros, fries,
pita bread and tzatziki. Do not, repeat
do not, attempt in skinny jeans.
It’d be a crime not to let you in on the
absolute magic that is the souvlaki.

generous dollop of tzatziki wrapped in a
warm pita bread. You thought a kebab

was good. Think again. FYI: we have it
on good authority that a souvlaki
without chips just ain’t the real deal,
and we are HERE for it.
I know what you’re thinking – is this
lunch or My Big Fat Greek Wedding?!
Can’t stop won’t stop. You’d be a fool if
you didn’t give the Mousaka a shot.
Greece’s most traditional of dishes,
boasting layers of baked eggplant,
potatoes, beef mince & béchamel
sauce. We literally can’t. You had us at
béchamel. Never fear vegetarians –
you can enjoy this badboy meat free!
If you haven’t eaten yourself into a
coma, the Prawn Saganaki won’t
disappoint. Prawns in Napoli sauce with
feta cheese and pita bread. For the
love of feta. Salty, seafood
deliciousness. I mean, you might not
leave looking like Aphrodite but your
belly will certainly thank you!
When it comes to desserts, there’s very
few that are more decadent and more
satisfying than the mighty baklava. Seal
the deal and order yourself one with ice
cream already. Bakla-yaaa!
We’d be lying if we said no buttons
were undone in the road testing of this
Greek feast. In all seriousness though -
at the rate these guys are going, you
won’t want to eat Greek food from
anywhere else.. Find Santorini on Batu
Mejan as you head towards Echo
Beach – opposite La Brisa.
