The NZ CHRISTCHURCH earthquake is definitely a sign from

God to the CHURCH OF CHRIST. The time 4:35 AM has been
mentioned several times by the doves. However, no one seems to
notice the coordinates: 43.55°S, 172.18°E (link). The number 435 is
in the coordinates as well -- 43.55°S! What is more, 29 cubits is 43.5
feet -- a direct link to NOAH and our ESCAPE at the rapture !!!!!!
The remaining digit 5 & the number 172.18 form two numbers that
suggest HARPAZO (518 Greek gematria, from amalgam of digit 5
and .18°; link) on the 17th day of the 2nd month (from 172°) !

The local time 4:35 AM is 16:35 universal time. GET THIS

RIGHT: It is 7 hours 26th minute from MIDNIGHT (G726 is
HARPAZO) !!!!!!
In addition, Jesus said,

If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou
shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee (Revelation 3:3).

He is obviously saying that to the one who watches, He will not come as a
thief and that person will know the hour! (Hour -- Greek hora -- Strong’s
5610; various meanings, including, “any definite time, point of time,
moment.”

God’s Promises of Revelation

It is clear that Jesus will not come as a "thief in the night" for watchful
believers, because in the very same passage, verse 4, Paul tells us,

But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you
like a thief.

If we are trusting in Christ and looking for His coming, Paul said that even
the very day does not have to surprise us!

Also, Jesus exhorted, "If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on
thee as a thief" (Revelation 3:3, KJV), obviously saying He will come as a
thief only to those not watching! It is obvious that for those watching, He
will NOT come as a thief.

Jesus rebuked those who did not understand the signs of the times in His
day:

O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern
the signs of the times (Matthew 16:3).
Of the end of the age, Jesus said,

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your
heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:28).

He said we would know when it is near!

God said, "Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing it to
His servants the prophets" (Amos 3:7, NIV). God said "nothing," and He
did not exclude Christ's return. I take Him at His word.

God not only knows the end from the beginning, He tells us that He makes
it known!

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still
to come. (Isaiah 46:10).

He has already made it known! I personally believe it has been hidden in

His Word all along, to be unlocked in His timing. There is nothing wrong
with seeking! No doubt, it pleases God.

God said,

I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I
shewed it thee (Isaiah 48:5, KJV).

Jesus said the Holy Spirit "will teach you all things" (John 14:26). He said
"all things." Did Jesus make a mistake, forgetting to exclude when He will
return? I don't think so.

Friends confide in one another. Abraham was called God’s “friend”

(Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23).

And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do
(Genesis 18:17).

Now, because of Jesus’ atonement, we are called friends of God:

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s
business. Instead, I have called you friends (Jesus, John 15:15).
The Bible also says that Jesus was crucified so that the blessing of
Abraham, part of which was friendship with God, would come upon the
Gentiles -- us (Galatians 3:14).

Ecclesiastes 1:9 says:

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there
is nothing new under the sun (NIV).

In addition, there is ample precedent for God revealing specific times in

advance.

■He gave Noah advance notice of when the flood would be (Genesis 6,7).

■He told Abraham how long the Israelites would be in Egypt (Genesis
15:13).

■As mentioned, He revealed to many the very day of Elijah's rapture (2

Kings 2).

■He told Jeremiah how long the Babylonian exile would be (Jeremiah
29:10).

■He told Daniel exactly when Messiah would come the first time (Daniel
9:25-26).

Some, including the brilliant Sir Isaac Newton, believe this same passage
holds the key to the timing of His return.

There is evidence that the Bible reveals the exact number of years of "the
times of the Gentiles" and the exact span of time to Israel's rebirth in 1948
and the recapture of Jerusalem in 1967.

Elijah knew the day he would be raptured!

Obviously, leaving us clueless now would violate God's own established

pattern as revealed in His Word!

Three weeks ago the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA)

published a notice, as it is legally required to do, announcing that Israel has
ordered massive quantities of various fuels suitable for military use, and in the
case of the order for JP-8 jet fuel, suitable only for military use.

The massive order is valued at some $2 billion and, as well as the 284 million
gallons (1.075 billion litres) of JP-8 jet fuel, the order also includes 60 million
gallons (227 million litres) of unleaded gasoline and 100 million gallons (378
million litres) of diesel fuel.

Conclusion: They are preparing for something.

You don't buy 2 billion $ worth of gas for nothing.

The shelf life of JP-8 is about 6-8 months...

So war it is within that timeframe.

That's quite a bit of fuel for a military the size of Israel.

This is quite interesting, Corey.

I'm expecting some time in 2010. Mostly, because that's the year I was told
tribulation would begin when I was 10 years old (1977). I originally was
thinking 2020, but the Holy Spirit told me clear as a bell 2010 for start of the
tribulation.

Russian S-300 missile system

Russia has ensured that it will honor a deal providing Iran

with the S-300 sophisticated anti-aircraft system, Tehran's
envoy to Moscow says.

Mohammad-Reza Sajjadi on Friday rejected reports that Russia

had pulled out of the deal due to a delay in the delivery of
the system to Iran.

"We had heard reports that Russia would not deliver these
systems to Iran, but we asked the Russian side and they
denied it," he told reporters in Moscow.

"The delivery deadline has already passed, but the Russian

side has cited technical problems which it said it was
working on to fix," Sajjadi added. "We feel that this
question will be resolved within one to two months."

He said neither Iran nor Russia planned to "go back" on the

contract, which he said was "profitable" for both sides.

Russia's procrastination over the delivery of the advanced

system to Iran has drawn harsh criticism from officials in
Tehran.

Earlier this month, Chief of Staff of Iran's Joint Armed

Forces Hassan Firouzabadi questioned Moscow's motivation for
the delay. He said under a contract signed between the two
countries, the Russian government was expected to supply
Iran with the system aimed at boosting the country's
defensive capabilities.

"The delivery is more than six months overdue," the top

official said, urging Russia to expedite the process of
delivery.

Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi also said that Russia had a

"contractual obligation" to provide Iran with the system.

"We have made a deal with the Kremlin to buy S-300 defense
missiles," he said, referring to a contract signed between
Tehran and Moscow in 2007.

"We don't think Russian officials would want to be seen in

the world as contract violators," he added.

Iran has been trying to obtain the sophisticated defense

system to improve its deterrence power in reaction to
Israeli war rhetoric.

According to Western experts, the S-300 missile defense

system would shield Iranian nuclear sites against any
Israeli airstrike.

The S-300 system, which can track targets and fire at

aircraft 120 km (75 miles) away, features high jamming
immunity and is able to simultaneously engage up to 100
targets.

Newton was a devout believer in Christ and
Bible scholar, fluent in ancient languages, and
who translated directly from the Hebrew and
Greek. He was unusually drawn to the prophet
Daniel, which he began studying at age 12 and
continued until he died at age 85. In fact, The
Columbia History of the World, a secular history
book, remarks, "At the end of his days he spent
more time studying and writing about the
prophecies in the Book of Daniel than he did in
charting the heavens." Apparently, God Himself
put in Newton's heart this burning desire to study
Daniel, then gave him the key to the timing of
Christ's return.

Could this be the final profound secret the

Lord revealed to this godly genius near the end
of his life -- a secret "accidentally" discovered in
the Library of Congress and republished just in
the last few years -- a secret so simple that most
have missed it?

If Newton was correct in his interpretation of

Daniel, the prophet to whom God gave specific
timing, then the return of the Lord Jesus Christ
is imminent.
Newton's understanding of one key passage
in Daniel chapter 9 is fundamentally different
from that of most common interpretations. In
about 550 B.C., God gave the prophet Daniel a
view of history to the end. From Daniel 9:25,
scholars usually add the "seven weeks (of years,
or 49 years) and 62 weeks (434 years)" to get
483 years and calculate the time of Messiah's
First Coming. However, Newton says there is no
linguistic basis for adding those two numbers
(49 and 434), and to do so is "doing violence to
the language of Daniel." Newton says the two
numbers separately speak of both the First and
Second Coming, both being counted from the
"going forth of the commandment to restore and
to build Jerusalem." The "seven
weeks," or 49-year part will apply to the Second
Coming (1967/1968 Jerusalem resettlement/
recapture to 2017 – 7 years Tribulation takes us
to the Year 2010.

THE GREAT PYRAMID, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE
RESEARCHERS - HERE IS SOME MOST FASCINATING DATA:

Enoch, according to the Book of Enoch, was taken to heaven, shown the great secrets of
God, and over a 60 day period wrote 366 books. Enoch is then returned to earth for 30
days to give instruction to his sons and his children's children. After 30 days he was taken
back to heaven. When he was 365 years old he disappeared – he was raptured.

It appears that the pyramid may be a record of knowledge Enoch revealed to his sons.
The pyramid could be a structure built by Enoch's sons to record for future generations a
testimony and monument of the Lord and His secrets.

Inside the pyramid there is a system of rising, descending and horizontal passages linking
a number of chambers with various dimensions, angles and slopes recorded in stone.

The message is not in any language, but are expressible in mathematics. The only true
universal language. The revealed message is in terms of a mathematical code.

The mathematical code connects to the words of scripture recorded in the 19th and 20th
verses of Isaiah 19.

In the Hebrew language the letter symbols of the language are also the same symbols as
numbers. The 30 words of Isaiah 19:19 in Hebrew have a sum total of 5,449. This is the
total numerically of Isaiah 19:19. The distance between the north and the south poles
boring through the earth divided by 500 million equals 5,449. The number of pyramid
inches from the base of the pyramid to the summit platform of the pyramid is 5,449.

The shortest chapter with the least amount written of the Bible is Psalm 117:, and the
larges chapter with the most amount written is chapter 119:
Between the smallest chapter of the Bible and the Largest Chapter of the Bible lies the
central verse of the Bible. This is located in the center of the Bible, with 594 verses from
Genesis 1:1 to Psalms 118:8. There are also 594 verses from Psalms 118:8 to Revelation
22:21.

The 118th Psalm also speaks of the Pyramid of Giza. The Pyramid of Giza also seems to
be a code of the whole Bible.

The Pyramid of Giza seems to be the words of all creation and history and prophecy of
the earth written in stone.

The Pyramid points to the Bible and the Bible points to the Pyramid.

The 118th Psalm speaks of the Pyramid in speaking about the chief Corner stone. A chief
corner stone can only refer to a pyramid and the Pyramid of Giza is the only one located
at the central point of the entire land area of the earth. It is also the only pyramid with the
chief corner stone missing.

This is referring to Jesus Christ in the 118th Psalm the chief corner stone that the builders
rejected.

Many people are aware of the phenomenal engineering feats involved in the construction
of the Great Pyramid of Giza. For those who are not I would like to give a brief and
simple summary of some of these facts.

On the west of the river Nile, not too far from ancient Memphis and almost opposite
present day Cairo, stands the last one of the seven wonders of the ancient world THE
GREAT PYRAMID. This is the largest of all the pyramids and the first built. It embodies
in its construction such a wealth of knowledge of mathematics and astronomy that
indicate that its builders possessed amazing wisdom.

The original pyramid was built of granite and limestone rock and had a smooth exterior
finish of white limestone which would have made it impossible to surmount. Some
legends say its capstone was made of gold. In its original form it must have been an awe
inspiring sight. But the passage of time and the wear and tear of countless storms have
stripped away its limestone exterior and left us with what we have today. Now one can
climb to the top, using the bricks as stairs, a feat which, in its initial form, would have
been impossible. The esteemed architect and eschatologist, Clarence Larkin, made the
following observations.

The base of the Great Pyramid covers about thirteen acres. It consists of approximately
2.3 million blocks of stone weighing around 2.5 tons each, some weighing up to 50 tons.
Some huge granite blocks, weighing 100 tons, are situated within the pyramid structure at
a height of 46 meters. The base of the pyramid is a square with right angles accurate to
within one-twentieth of a degree. The sides are equilateral triangles and face exactly to
the true north, south, east and west of the earth.

Taking the Hebrew cubit to be 25.025 inches, the length of each side of the base is
365.2422 cubits, the exact number of days in the solar year (including the extra day for
every 4 years).
The slope of the sides of the pyramid is of such an angle that they meet at the apex at the
predetermined height of 232.52 cubits. If twice the length of a side at the base, be divided
by the height of the pyramid we arrive at the figures 3.14159, which when multiplied by
the diameter of a circle, gives its circumference.

The perimeter of the base of the pyramid (365.242 x 4 = 14609.68) is exactly equal to the
circumference of a circle whose diameter is twice the height of the pyramid (232.52 x 2 x
3.1416 = 14609.68). So here we have in these figures the solution to the problem of how
to square a circle.

The angle of slope of the sides is 10 to 9. That is, for every 10 feet you ascend, you rise in
altitude 9 feet. And if you multiply the altitude of the pyramid by 10 raised to the power
of 9, you have 91,840,000, which in miles, is the exact distance of the sun from the earth!

The year of the stars is called the 'Sidereal' and the year of the seasons is called the
'Equinoctial'. They differ by about 50 seconds per year. In other words, the stars in their
rising and setting are retarded by about 50 seconds each year. In order for the 'Sidereal'
and the 'Equinoctial' years to come around and coincide again would take 25,827 years,
which is called a 'cycle'. If we add together the diagonals of the pyramids base in inches,
we arrive at 25,827, or as many inches as the cycle has years.
The Great Pyramid stands at the exact centre of the world. It is midway between the west
coast of Mexico and the east coast of China. Between the north cape of Norway and the
Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. It stands at the intersection of the 30th parallel, both
latitude and longitude. The Great Pyramid was the highest buildings in the world for
thousands of years until modern man began building skyscrapers such as the World Trade
Center. If it were compared to a skyscraper, the Great Pyramid would be 42 stories high.
It contains enough stone to build a six foot high wall from New York to Los Angeles.

Researchers Alan and Sally Lansberg provide the following statistics regarding this
incredible edifice:
"Somehow the builders knew that the world was round but flattened at the poles, which
caused a degree of latitude to lengthen at the top and bottom of the planet; that it rotated
in one day on an axis tilted 23.5* to the ecliptic, causing night and day, and that this tilt
caused the seasons; that earth circled the sun once in a year of 365 and a fraction days.

The designers also must have known that earth's celestial north pole described a slow
circle around the pole of the ecliptic, making the constellations appear to 'slip backward'
(the precession of the equinoxes), and bring a new constellation of the Zodiac behind the
sun at the equinox approximately every twenty two hundred years in a grand circle of
about twenty-six thousand years. These facts, too, were part of the internal measurements
of the pyramid".

We are asked to believe that primitive man, dressed in animal skins and roaming wild,
constructed the Great Pyramid with all that it entails, yet these same builders had not yet
invented the simple wheel.
From an astronomical point of view, we have learned some extraordinary facts. There are
four long narrow passage ways or shafts built into the Great Pyramid. Two on the north
face and two on the south. The two on the north point to two distinct stars. One at Beta
Ursa Minor and one at Alpha Draconis in the constellation of Draco.

The 'star shafts' on the south face point at Sirius and Zeta Orionis. In ancient Egyptian
tradition, Sirius is associated with the goddess Isis. And Zita Orionis, which is the
brightest star of three in Orions belt, is identified with Osiris, the high god of resurrection
and rebirth in the remote epoch referred to as 'Zep Tepi' or 'First Time'.
Suppose you are asked to construct a genealogy of real people, but there are certain
constraints. The number of words in this genealogy must:
· Be evenly divisible by seven (with no remainders)
· The number of letters must be divisible by seven
· The number of vowels and consonants must be divisible by seven
· The number of words that begin with a vowel must be divisible by seven
· The number of words that begin with a consonant must be divisible by seven
· The number of words that occur more than once, must be divisible by seven
· The number of words that occur in more than one form must be divisible by seven
· The number of words that occur only in one form must be divisible by seven
· The number of names in the genealogy must be divisible by seven
· The number of male names must be divisible by seven
· And the number of generations in the genealogy must be divisible by seven

Would it not be next to impossible to draw up such a genealogy? Yet this describes
exactly the genealogy of the Messiah as given in the gospel of Matthew 1 :2-17. From an
academic and literary point of view, the Bible stands head and shoulders above any other
book ever written, yet it is largely ignored in academia. It has sold over eight billion
copies in more than 2,000 languages. It was written by 40 different men over a period of
1,600 years yet it remains united in its content. It has survived 40 centuries of history. It
has more ancient manuscripts to authenticate it than any other ten pieces of ancient
literature put together.
In fact there are over 5,000 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, the oldest dating to
around 68AD. Compare this with only nine old copies of 'Caesar's Gallic War' and the
oldest of these is 900 years after Caesar died. Yet nobody questions these?
When copying was being carried out, the Hebrew scribes had enormous reverence for the
text of the Bible. Copies were checked, double checked and re-checked many times. If a
small mistake was made, the whole page would be re-written. When they came to the
word 'Yahweh' meaning God, they would burn the pen and change their clothes. Only
photocopying is more accurate than the methods they followed to preserve the accuracy
and integrity of the text.

One would think that those who occupy the seats of higher learning would acknowledge
the obvious literary merits of the Bible.
It was, after all:
· The source of over 1200 quotations used by William Shakespeare in his works.
· The inspiration for literary giants such as Milton, C.S. Lewis, Sir Walter Scott and
Charles Dickens.
· The Inspiration for Da Vinci's Last Supper, Michelangelo's Pieta and Handel's Messiah
which he wrote in 21 days, the entire text coming from The Book of Isaiah.
· The motivation for the work of Mother Theresa, Abraham Lincoln, Isaac Newton and
Martin Luther King.

Yet despite its unequalled position as an academic document, the Bible is ignored and
withheld from students of literary works. It is sidelined and boycotted and scoffed at in
favor of lesser works of men. You would think that even the humanist non-believer
would pay tribute to the academic worth of this mighty tome, and the effect it has had on
the history of civilization. But no, all are silent.

3:1 And to the messenger of the assembly in Sardis

write: These things saith he who is having the
Seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I have
known thy works, and that thou hast the name that
thou dost live, and thou art dead;
3:2 become watching, and strengthen the rest of
the things that are about to die, for I have not
found thy works fulfilled before God.
3:3 `Remember, then, how thou hast received, and
heard, and be keeping, and reform: if, then, thou
mayest not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief,
and thou mayest not know what hour I will come upon
thee.
3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis who did
not defile their garments, and they shall walk with
me in white, because they are worthy.
3:5 He who is overcoming -- this one -- shall be
arrayed in white garments, and I will not blot out
his name from the scroll of the life, and I will
confess his name before my Father, and before His
messengers.
3:6 He who is having an ear -- let him hear what
the Spirit saith to the assemblies.
3:7 `And to the messenger of the assembly in
Philadelphia write: These things saith he who is
holy, he who is true, he who is having the key of
David, he who is opening and no one doth shut, and
he shutteth and no one doth open!
3:8 I have known thy works; lo, I have set before
thee a door -- opened, and no one is able to shut
it, because thou hast a little power, and didst
keep my word, and didst not deny my name;
3:9 lo, I make of the synagogue of the Adversary
those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not,
but do lie; lo, I will make them that they may come
and bow before thy feet, and may know that I loved
thee.
3:10 `Because thou didst keep the word of my
endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of
the trial that is about to come upon all the world,
to try those dwelling upon the earth.

Discussion ABOUT PRECESSION OF THE EQUINOXES – VERY

IMPORTANT AS THIS CAN ADVANCE EACH HEBREW FEAST BY
APPROXIMATELY 30 DAYS:

THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES, the third “Moed” Feast, therefore has a

timeline of the last week of October 2010. Think about this! There are
seven Feasts, but study about these. Check out Pastor FM Riley’s posts in
Five Doves…

Each Hebrew calendar month begins at a new moon. Each new moon on
average occurs every 29.530588 days. Counting 12 months per year the feasts
quickly become out of sync with the solar year and the grain and fruit harvests
which play a part in the various feasts, (Exo. 23:16). The proper way to
determine the beginning of the New Year has been the subject of much debate.
Should one count from when the barley is full in the head, (abib, i.e. Exo.
23:15)? Should one count just like the standardized Hebrew calendar based on
adjusting to the solar calendar (which is 365.242199 days per year), starting
with the spring equinox? Or should one count adjusted to the stars in the sky as
they were when the calendar began, (Exo. 1:14)?

The stars in the sky could be said to be from the perspective of the Universe.
Instead of determining when the sun at noon passes the equator, known as the
spring equinox, for the start of the new year as aligned with the next new moon,
start the year based on where the constellations are again in the same place in
the sky as they were when Jesus was BORN.

The universe-based cycle difference with the sun is observed as the phenomena
known as the precession of the equinoxes – GOD’S CALENDAR.

Dear Doves,

I wanted to share a few intriguing reasons for why you may want to
consider the Feast of Tabernacles as a candidate for the Rapture.

Tabernacles is a 7 day feast with an 8th day tacked onto the end. It
memorializes the time that the Israelites had to live in booths after
they were brought out of Egypt. During the first 7 days, the
celebrants are to live in booths or temporary dwellings. See
Leviticus 23:42. On the 8th day, the celebrants are to hold a
sacred assembly.

Here are a few possible Rapture connections to the Feast of

Tabernacles:

The Last Trump & Tabernacles

There is no scripture that expressly links the Last Trump of 1

Corinthians 15:52 to the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah. That
position is based upon a rabbinical or traditional convention. In
fact, trumpets are blown on other Biblical feasts and festivals:
“Also at your times of rejoicing – your appointed feasts and New
Moon festivals – you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt
offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for
you before your God. I am the Lord your God.” Numbers 10:10.
So, if the Last Trump is not sounded on the Feast of Trumpets,
when else could it sounded? The answer may be simpler that you
think. Since the cycle of the 7 Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23) is
observed during a course of 7 months, beginning with Passover
and ending with Tabernacles, why couldn’t the Last Trump be a
trumpet blown during the last feast?

Scripture seems to back up this possibility. Check out Psalm 81:3-

4: “Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is
full, on the day of our Feast; this is a decree for Israel, an
ordinance of the God of Jacob.” (NIV) This verse refers to the
Feast of Trumpets, which is a new moon festival, and to the Feast
of Tabernacles, which is a full moon festival. Throughout the
Bible, the Feast of Tabernacles is referred to as the feast or
festival. (See 1 Kings 8:2, 65 and 12:32; 2 Chronicles 5:3 and 7:8;
Nehemiah 8:14, 18; and Ezekiel 45:25.) Furthermore, blowing the
shofar on the Feast of Trumpets and the Feast of Tabernacles is
not a suggestion, but a mandate from God. He clearly wants a
trumpet to be blown on the last of the 7 Feasts.

(*Note: The KJV reads differently for Psalm 81:3. “Blow up the
trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn
feast day.” But if you look at the Hebrew, which you can check for
yourselves at www.blueletterbible.org, the word for “in the time
appointed” (“kece”) means “full moon.” And the Hebrew word for
“on our solemn feast” (“chag”) also refers to the Feast of
Tabernacles in the Talmud, 2 Chronicles 5:3 and 1 Kings 8:2.)

Sign of Jonah

A fellow dove, Daniel Lizarraga, posted a great study about the

sign of Jonah and its relationship to the Church Age.

remember that the unbelieving Pharisees asked Jesus for a
miraculous sign and he replied: “A wicked and adulterous
generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it
except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three
days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man
will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The
men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation
and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and
now one greater than Jonah is here.” Matthew 12:30-41.
In a nutshell, Daniel Lizarraga noticed that the sign of Jonah
consisted of three feasts, not just one. He sees Passover in the
three days and three nights. (Note: Passover tends to be a catchall
for all 3 spring feasts. Technically, however, Christ died on
Passover, was buried for 3 days during the Feast of Unleavened
Bread, and was resurrected on Firstfruits.) He sees Pentecost in
the 120,000 Ninevites who repented, because the number is a
multiple of the 120 Christian believers who were in the upper room
at Pentecost. And he sees Tabernacles in the fact that Jonah
made a booth to watch the outcome of the city. Finally, he sees all
of this as an illustration of the Church Age.

I believe that his insight is confirmed by scripture. The 3 feasts

that make up the sign of Jonah are the same 3 feasts that make up
the Pilgrimage Festivals. “Three times a year all your men must
appear before the Lord your God in the place he will choose: at the
Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of
Tabernacles.” Deuteronomy 16:16. (See also Exodus 23:14-17.)
This is no coincidence. God has highlighted three out of the seven
Levitical feasts for a reason. At the time Jesus pointed the Jews to
sign of Jonah, he was making a specific point about Gentile
believers. He also mentioned the Queen of Sheba who came to the
faith during the time of King Solomon. (See Matthew 12: 42.) He
was showing the Jews that the conversion of Gentiles would be a
sign to them and that the 3 Pilgrimage Festivals would be
connected to this sign.

In book of Jonah, the Jewish prophet is sent to Nineveh, a Gentile

city, to warn the people of its destruction after a period of 40 days.
The Ninevites believe his message and repent to the God of the
Israelites, who preserves them from judgment. We thus have an
illustration of Gentiles who come to a saving faith in God within a
framework of events that point to the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. This is the sign
of Jonah. And it is being fulfilled by the Church, a predominantly
Gentile body, who has accepted the resurrected Christ (i.e.
Unleavened Bread) as her Savior. The Apostle Paul observed that
our current age would be characterized by Israel’s unbelief, but
that it would not be lasting. “Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to
fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their
transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel
envious …. I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery,
brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced
a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come
in. And so all Israel will be saved ….” Romans 11:11, 25-26.

The Church, had its start on Pentecost, also known as the Feast of
Weeks. It was at that time that the Holy Spirit began to indwell
believers. In a spiritual sense, Pentecost has never ended.
Believers continue to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit. In fact, Paul
referred to our present age as Today. “But encourage one another
daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be
hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ
if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. As has
just been said: ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your
hearts as you did in the rebellion.’” Hebrews 3:13-15. Someday,
however, “Today” will end.

If the Church Age is connected to the 3 pilgrimage festivals, then

the next event on God’s prophetic calendar is the Feast of
Tabernacles. In the book of Jonah, the Ninevites were spared
judgment. Likewise, the Church will be spared the judgment of the
Tribulation through the Rapture. Our disappearance will truly be a
miraculous sign to those remaining on earth.

Lastly, the name “Jonah” literally means “dove.” Isn’t it

interesting that there is a book of the Bible entitled “Dove,” the
sign of the Holy Spirit, which is about a bunch of reprobate
Gentiles who are spared from judgment? Talk about an illustration
for the Church Age.

Harvest Pattern

The Feast of Tabernacles is the last of the 3 harvest festivals –

which are Firstfruits, Pentecost, and Tabernacles, respectively.
Jesus may have established a pattern by being resurrected on a
harvest festival – the Feast of Firstfruits. Future resurrection
events, therefore – including the Rapture – could occur on one of
these festivals. Since the Feast of Tabernacles signals the end of
the harvest (Deuteronomy 16:13-15), it would be fitting for the
Church to be “harvested” at the end of the harvest season, since it
had it start at Pentecost, the beginning of the harvest season. See
Exodus 23:16. There is also a period of 4 months between
Pentecost and Tabernacles. “Do you not say, ‘Four months more
and then the harvest?’ I tell you, open your eyes and look at the
fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his
wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the
sower and the reaper may be glad together.” John 4:35-36. Our job
has been to participate in this on-going harvest. Someday,
however, our work will end and there will be a final harvest of the
Church.

Booths & Heavenly Chambers

There is a lovely passage in Isaiah that talks about the people of

God entering chambers during a time of judgment. It is viewed as
an Old Testament reference to the Rapture: “But your dead will
live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and
shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth
will give birth to her dead. Go, my people, enter your rooms and
shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until
his wrath has passed by. See, the Lord is coming out of his
dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.” Isaiah
27:19-21. Note that the people are told to hide themselves, but for a
short period of time. It is interesting to note that the Feast of
Tabernacles is celebrated by the entering of temporary structures
or booths for a period of 7 days. Could this point to the Church
entering chambers in heaven during the 7 year Tribulation?

Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not
so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for
you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and
take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John
14:2-3.

Pattern from the Transfiguration

The Transfiguration is discussed in three out of the four Gospels:

Matthew 17:1-13; Mark 9:2-3; Luke 9:28-36. The accounts are all
similar: Jesus, Peter, James and John go up a high mountain
where Jesus is transfigured before them. Suddenly, Moses and
Elijah appear in “glorious splendor.” (Luke 9:31.) A cloud
envelopes all of them and they hear the voice of God.
It is possible that the Transfiguration occurred during the Feast of
Tabernacles, because Peter asks if they should build 3 shelters or
booths for Jesus, Moses and Elijah. If this connection between the
Transfiguration and the Feast of Tabernacles is true, we may have
been given insight as to the timing of the Rapture. This is because
there seems to be a parallel between the Transfiguration and the
Rapture passage in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud
command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call
of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After than, we who are
still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord
forever.”

Similarly, at the Transfiguration, Moses represents the dead in

Christ because he experienced death. Elijah represents those who
are alive at the time of the Rapture because he never experienced
death. They, the dead and the alive, join Jesus and are
transformed. Also, Old Testament saints and New Testament
saints are together during this event as represented by Moses,
Elijah, and the three disciples. Although they are not in the air,
they are on a “high mountain.” (Matthew 17:1.) A cloud envelopes
them and they are with the Lord in the clouds. Lastly, the voice of
God is heard, and we know from other scripture that the voice of
God is like the sound of a trumpet. (See Revelation 1:10 and 4:1.)

The Transfiguration appears to be a rehearsal for the Rapture.

Perhaps it is also an indicator for its timing.

In Secret

There is a passage in the book of John that expressly links Jesus

Christ to the Feast of Tabernacles. It states that the Lord’s
brothers mock him for not having a more public ministry.
“Therefore Jesus told them, ‘The right time for me has not yet
come; for you any time is right. The world cannot hate you, but it
hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. You go to the
Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right
time has not yet come.’ Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.
However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not
publicly, but in secret. Now at the Feast the Jews were watching
for him and asking, ‘Where is that man?’ …. Not until halfway
through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin
to teach.” John 7:6-14.

It is interesting that Jesus initially attends the Feast of Tabernacles

in secret. People often criticize us for believing in a “secret”
Rapture. Wouldn’t it be something if this passage is a hint for
when and how Christ will come for us? Since the Feast of
Tabernacles is a multi-day festival, no one would know the day or
hour that He would come.

Revelation 1:9 Here we see John, the last surviving Apostle of Jesus, in
exile for spreading the Gospel of Christ:

9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in Tribulation, and in

the Kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called
Patmos, for the Word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
