SUBJECT: Damage to Police Cruiser/Hate Crime

SYNOPSIS OF INCIDENT:
An officer reported while sitting in his marked police cruiser on a road closure, the driver's side window
was abruptly smashed in by a brick, nearly missing the officer's head. A suspect description was
broadcasted and the suspect was quickly apprehended by area officers. The suspect spontaneously uttered
he hates cops and was targeting a white cop due to the recent events in the news.
As a result of the broken window, the officer sustained minor cuts to his right arm, but declined any medical
attention. V.C.U. was notified of the incident. CSD responded to the scene. This incident was not captured
by C4 cameras.
