(1) New registration: new applications for asylum during the reporting period including syrians.
(2) Reactivation: includes persons whose case was closed for any of the reasons mentioned in (3) and return to UNHCR office to renew their certificate on the basis of a reasonable justification.
(3) Other closure: persons for whom a final rejection has been issued after the RSD procedure; persons who have abandonned their asylum application prior to final decision on their status; persons who have not been in contact with UNHCR office after the
expiry date of their certificate; persons who have departed spontaneously from Morocco to another country or to their country of origin.
(4) Refugee figure: includes persons for whom UNHCR has made a positive determination on their refugee claim and who are pending review of their case by the ad hoc Commission on Regularisation chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation;
and those who need an international protection and not undergoing RSD.
(5) Recognition figure: see footnote 4.
(6) Pending interview figure: The Syrians and Yemenites population are not included in this column, because they are not undergoing RSD.
