Self Portrait & Rationale:

Directions for self-portrait: Create an artistic piece using whatever medium you would like.

Examples include: drawings, paintings, collages, mosaics, video (self-created & must be emailed link*
before due date), Claymation, animation, comic, stop motion animation, music (recorded, self-created,
and emailed* before due date); dance (video recorded, self-created, and emailed* before due date).
Your artistic piece may be 3 dimensional, but must not be larger than a sheet of paper (8.5 X 11).
Canvases for painting must not be larger than 8.5 X 11.

Your artistic piece must be reflective of your identity markers that you wrote down on your identity
map. It can include other things about you (i.e. likes & dislikes), but must contain your expression of
your identity.

Directions for rationale: Explain how you expressed your identity markers in a 3-10 sentence
paragraph. This should be written on notebook paper or an index card and include your name.

Timeframe: You have 1 week to complete this project. It is due on or before Friday: 9/24/18

Adequately explains what is shown in artistic work 20 points
Rubric cut & attached to rationale 5 points
Total possible: 100 points
