1.1 Application
The Contaminex is used as a highly efficient cleaning unit
for the processing of unsorted wastepapers in conjunction
with a wastepaper pulper. Since shutdowns for cleaning are
avoided, a continuous operation is ensured.

1.2 Arrangement and Operation

a) Application with horizontal pulper (see sketch 1.2.1)
The Contaminex, a waste disposal unit, is connected at a
suitable point to the ragger line pipe which terminates in
the turbulence centre of the AP pulper.
All floating impurities which, on account of their shape,
are unsuitable for entanglement on the ragger line, as well
as part of the heavy contraries are separated from the paper
stock in the Contaminex and discharged through a screen
without being reduced in size.
With the aid of the adjustable, interval-controlled timer at
the outlet it is possible to adjust the dwell and pumping
time of the extracted, preferably large-area and floatable
extraneous matter and to adapt it to any degree of contami-
nation. The discharge opening is kept clear by the continual
movement of the ragger line and the reverse flow at the
connecting opening.
