community, so I can’t speak for everyone. I’d like
to think it’s made me sensitive to and an advocate
for other traditionally marginalized communities
in the workplace and in the business community.
Ultimately, being open and true to myself has
been a key driver of my success — allowing me to
be fully present in my career. I was lucky to have
supportive employers, but I also recognize we still
have work to do, as so many LGBT people don’t
feel the level of safety, comfort, or equality in the
