ABSTRACT

Background : Cervical Cancer is a growth of abnormal cells in cervical tissue. Cervical

cancer is a primary cancer from a cervix (cervical canal and or portion)

Objective : This purpose of study was to determine the level of student knowledge about
cervical cancer at Al-Azhar Plus Senior High School Medan in 2014.

Methods : The design of study using descriptive in survey method.

Results : it found 69,03% students good knowledge about cervical cancer and 30,32%
enough knowledge and 0,64% bad knowledge. For the level of atittude are 29,67% students
good knowledge, 57,41% enough knowledge and 14,19% bad knowledge. For the level of the
action are 62,58% students the level of are good knowledge, 36,12% enough knowledge and
1,29% bad knowledge.

Conclusion : the result of this study found the level of knowledge at Al-Azhar Plus Senior
High School Medan in 2014 are 107 (69,03%) students good knowledge, for result the level
of attitude are 89 (57,41%) students enough knowledge, and for the level of the action are 97
(62,58%) students good knowledge.
