The automatic Hydro FR pumping set, designed for hydrants fire extinguishing systems.

The pumping sets are compact, robust, modular and supplied in pre-assembled and factory tested.
“Plug and play” easy to transport and Install.

The hydraulic components are selected and sized in order to minimize the pressure losses at any flow rate value stated on the
performance curve.

The main pump starts automatically and it continues to run until stopped manually.

The jockey pump, start and stop automatically in order to maintain the required pressure in the fire network thus to avoid
unnecessary main pump start.

SYSTEM STANDARD SCOPE OF SUPPLY

 Nr.2 MAIN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN PUMPS compact, reliable, horizontal, multistage, end-suction centrifugal pumps with
axial suction port and radial discharge port. The shaft, impellers and chambers are made of stainless steel. The inlet and
discharge parts are made of CAST IRON. The mechanical shaft seal is a special designed, unbalanced O-ring seal.
The performances of the pump are in accordance with ISO 9906:2012 - Grade 3B.

 Nr.1 CONTROL PANEL designed for manage all the pumps in the system (mains and jockey).
The control panel has the following features and functionalities:

Mode of operation
The mode of operation can be selected by acting on the selectors on the front door of the panel.
Each selector (one per pump) has three operating positions:

- AUTOMATIC – pumps are automatically started according to system demand by means of pressure switches (one for
each pump) (Cascade settings);

- 0 – the relevant pump is stopped;

- MANUAL - pump start manually.

The above mode of operation is valid for both, main and jockey pump, and as additional feature, the jockey pump stop
automatically to system demand by means of relevant pressure switch and start always first.

Pump and system protection:

- short-circuit protection by means of fuses for main pumps,
- motor protection by means of a thermal overload relay for jockey pump only,

 Light signaling:

- LED pump failure (only for jockey pump thermal protection trip).

 HYDRAULICS COMPONENTS - Each main pump, is equipped with the following hydraulic components:

ON SUCTION SIDE
- Nr.1 (per pump) UNION 2" to easily disconnect the pump;
- Nr.1 (per pump) ISOLATING VALVE 2" ball type with ball type with lever actuator;
- Nr.1 GALVANIZE STEEL MANIFOLD DN 100 PN16 to connect the pumping set to the system.

ON DISCHARGE SIDE
- Nr.1 (per pump) NON-RETURN VALVE 2";
- Nr.1 (per pump) UNION 2" to easily disconnect the pump and or inspect the non-return valve;
- Nr.1 (per pump) ISOLATING VALVE 2" ball type with ball type with lever actuator;
- Nr.1 (per pump) PRESSURE SWITCH to automatically start the pump complete with isolating valve;
- Nr.1 GALVANIZE STEEL MANIFOLD DN 100 PN16 to connect the pumping set to the system;
- Nr.1 PRESSURE GAUGE;
- Nr.1 DIAPHRAGM PRESSURE TANK 24lt, PN16 factory charged.

 HYDRAULICS COMPONENTS - The jockey pump is equipped with the following components:

- Nr.1 NON-RETURN VALVE 1” on the discharge side;

- Nr.2 GATE VALVES ball type with lever actuator on the discharge side (1”) and on the suction side (1” ¼);
- Nr.1 PRESSURE SWITCH to start and stop the jockey pump.

 A GALVANIZED STEEL BASEFRAME host all the system.
