An Equity Shares with differential rights is an ordinary equity shares but it provides fewer
voting rights to its shareholder. The difference in the Voting Rights can be achieved by
reducing the degree of voting rights

 Qualitative Analysis: Various aspects of shareholders will be studied and the collected
data will be analysed.
 Analytical Study: An analysis of the topic using all available literature to grasp a
better understanding and to aid the completion of this project.
 Case study: Different cases will be studied to know about the views of supreme court
on it.
 Critical analysis: Analysis of all the material available to understand the issue of
shares with differential voting rights.
V. PROBABLE OUTCOME

After pursuing this line of research and thoroughly reading all the available literature, besides
gaining rudimentary knowledge on the topic, a better understanding the process of companies
in issuing shares to the public.

The knowledge about the different types of shares and how to issue shares with differential
voting rights.
