Brainstorm
• Online advertising, also called online marketing or Internet
advertising or web advertising, is a form of marketing and advertising
which uses the Internet to deliver promotional marketing messages
to consumers.
• Where are many forms of online advertising including:
• Google Search Ads
• Facebook Ads
• Twitter Ads
• Mobile Ads
• Retargeting Ads
Brainstorm
• We have been given the task of creating an online animated
advertisement for an event called “The Battle of the Bands”, which is
to be held at our school. The advert must be a frame by frame
animation and include a range of different media, including images,
audio as well as video.
• The advert will be design with the theme of modern Rap as wells as
local bands. It will need to include all relevant information such as
date, location, time, title and the bands that will be attending at the
event.
• The goal of this advert is to advertise the event as well as to target a
certain audience group.
Time Plan
• Research into popular ads that have successfully targeted the similar age
bracket. (2 Lessons)
• Creation of PowerPoint portfolio : includes time plan and research. (1 Lesson)
• Adobe animate tutorials. ( 4 Lessons)
• Creation of adobe aminate advert. (6 lessons)
• Refining adobe animate advert: adding audio, exporting.(2 lessons)
• Finalizing PowerPoint ( 1 lesson)
• Submitting Advert + PowerPoint (1 lesson)
Purpose
• The purpose of this advert is to advertise the event as well as to
target a certain audience group. Advertising is at the front of
delivering the proper message to customers about the event. The
purpose of advertising is to inform the consumers about event and
convince target audience that this event is a must to attend.
Design Criteria
1. Create an advertisement that enhances the understanding that the
audience has on the event.
2. Present all relevant information to the audience. (such as dates,
time ect)
3. Needs to be a looped animation
4. Include 3 different sources of media. (such as video and music)
5. Need to abide the Hale school style guide.
Characteristics of the target
• The ad need to target the audience in the age bracket of year 10 -11
students.
• The audience being targeted needs to be interested in the forms of
music such as modern rap as well as local bands.
• The target audience includes hale students (years 10 to 11) as well as
the wider community that is in the age bracket.
Technology(ies)
• Adobe Animate CC – Is a program developed by Adobe as a computer
animation program. Animate can be used to design vector graphics
and animation, and publish the same for television programs, online
video, websites, web applications, rich internet applications, and
video games.
• Audacity – is an audio editing program that that is used to shorten,
loop, and edit audio clips. This program can be used to export the
audio as either a Mp3 or WAV files.

• Adobe Photoshop- is a raster graphics editor developed and


published by Adobe. Photoshop can be used to edit and create
images that can then be used in the animation.

Design criteria statements met
1. Create an advertisement that enhances the understanding that the audience has on the event.

The use of animated text as well as lighting to enhance the sudiences understanding of the event that is being
advertised

2. Present all relevant information to the audience. (such as dates, time ect)

All relevant dates and information has been presented to the audience in the form of text.

3. Needs to be a looped animation

The animation will loop again once finished.

4. Include 3 different sources of media. (such as video and music)

I have successfully used audio, video and gifs to attract and engage the target audience.

The school style guide has been used to make sure all information that is being presented follows the rules set out
my the authorities.

• How has the advert successfully targeted the audience?

The advert successfully targets the audience with the use of high beat music that attracts the viewer.

• Was all the important information presented in the advert?

All information such as dates and time has been included in the form of text.

• Was the design criteria followed in the creation of this advert?

The design criteria that was set out has been followed in the development of this advert.

• Did you watch the whole advert or did you loose interest?

The advert wasn’t too short nor was it too long. The fast beat created a feeling that the add was faily short but all
information has been presented.

• What could have been done better?

I feel that the final scene will all the information about the event could have been created in a better way but other
than that it was good.
