St. Andrew’s is hosting the Rio Texas Conference
safe ministry training for all individuals who volunteer
with children, youth, and vulnerable adults. If you
currently help in these areas, or plan to help in any way
in the future, this training is for you! Please make every

UMW General Meeting

Author Visit: Larry Johnson
All are invited to come to the Council Room and hear
author Larry Johnson at the first UMW General Meeting
of the new season. Johnson’s books include Mexico By
Touch: True Life Experiences of a Blind American
Deejay, You Can If You Think You Can, and That’s How
I See It, just to name a few. He served 22 years as a
radio and television broadcaster in Mexico City, Chicago
and San Antonio, and 32 years as a motivational speaker
and workshop presenter. Larry Johnson is also well-
known for his provocatively insightful and often
humorous newspaper column in the local newspaper.
Special Delivery
Members of “St. Andrew’s Army” delivered 130
backpacks to Wilshire Elementary. In addition, SALA,
San Antonio Life Academy baked and sent over 10
dozen homemade cookies for the teachers at the
elementary to enjoy as they prepare their
classrooms for the kids to arrive next week.
