~ HOW TO INSTALL THE

TEMPLATE ~
This template can be used inside Final
Cut X with or without Apple Motion
installed. Depending if you have or not
Apple Motion installed on your Mac, the
installation process is different. If you
have Motion and Final Cut X please use
the first method. If you have only Final
Cut X but no Motion, please use the
second method. If you have only Motion
but no Final Cut X you do not need to
install the templates. After installation,
restart Final Cut X if it is running.

USE this method if you have Motion

installed on your Mac
Copy << 99 Titles Update 2.1 >> folder to:
~/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles
USE this method if you DO NOT have
Motion installed on your Mac
Copy << 99 Titles Update 2.1 >> folder to:
/Applications/Final Cut
Pro/Contents/PlugIns/MediaProviders/MotionE

~ FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS ~

Q: I received the Red “T” Exclamation

Sign Error in Final Cut X, what can I do?
A: To solve this error please update the
Final Cut X to the latest version
available. This template requires Final
Cut X 10.2.2 or later to work and your
Final Cut X version is older then 10.2.2.
After updating the software, please
reinstall the templates and relaunch
Final Cut X. If this is not solving the
problem, please contact me for more
advanced troubleshooting.

Q: My Mac OS X and Final Cut X are not

in English and I can not install the
template, what can I do?
A: Each OS X language changes only the
last word form the path [in this case
« Titles » ] to the correspondent word in
that specific language. For the
installation path to work on non English
OS X all you need to do is to change the
last word in the installation path with
the equivalent on that language. For
French the correspondent word for
« Titles » is Mosaïques so the new
installation path will be:

FRANCAIS
With Motion:
~/Movies/Motion Templates/Mosaïques
Without Motion
/Applications/Final Cut
Pro/Contents/PlugIns/MediaProviders/Mot
ionEffect.fxp/Contents/Resources/Templa
tes/Mosaïques

Q: I have installed the templates on two
different Macs but when I transfer the
Final Cut X library from one Mac to
another the titles used in timeline are
not recognized. What can I do?
A: Please use the same installation
method on both Macs. Final Cut X needs
to reed the titles form the same general
location on both computers. If one
computer has Motion and another dos
not, please use the second method of
installation for both.

Q: Why some of the controls are

highlighted with capital letters?
A: Controls like LINE Length, HIDE Text
01, HIDE Text 02, etc, are highlighted
with capital letters because control
very important settings for each
template. Editing those settings it will
assure the correct functionality of the
template.
For longer text sometimes additional
adjustments are required and the
settings with capital letters are the first
that need to be adjusted.

Q: I try to open the template with Motion

but I receive this message: “This file
cannot be opened because it was
created in a newer version of Motion.”
what can I do?
A: To solve this error please update the
Motion to the latest version available.
This template requires Motion 5.2 or
later to work
and your Motion version is older then 5.2.

Q: Are the titles 4K compatible?

A: Yes. All the templates are shape
based graphics and can be used with 4K
projects without quality loss.

Q: What duration have the titles?

A: The duration for each title is
adjustable. All animation will be
retained.

Q: What are settings like OS Scale, OS

Rotation, OS Position?
A: OS settings are “On Screen”
adjustments for the template. The on
screen Position, Scale and Rotation can
be adjusted
using those settings.
