Temperature is not increasing continuously
We should investigate the pattern and the speed of
temperature rise. In fact, increase in temperature
in the 20th century was not continuous. It rose
mainly in two periods - 1910 to 1945 and 1976 to
2000. All those studies which show an increase in
global temperature are not representative and
have bias because most of the measurements are
taken at weather stations in urban areas.
Normally, they are warmer than rural areas.
These weather stations are also located primarily
on land, and most are in the Northern
Hemisphere.
Rising amount of CO2 may not

In the past 135 years, carbon dioxide increased
only 20 percent. This increase coincides with the
start of the industrial revolution. As a result, some

California at Davis, increasing level of carbon
dioxide will cause increase in temperature. This
will increase the evaporation of tropical oceans
and lead to an increase in condensation of clouds
at high elevations. Cloud cover then blocks
sunlight from heating the earth with a cooler
globe as a result.

Based on my day to day living, the
temperature today compared from
the past is dramatically hot. The
Philippines is located near the equator
so it should really be hot but we have
enjoyed sun’s heat back then. But
now, the sun’s heat is just too much
that it hurts on our skin. As the global
warming continuous to happen,
temperature will also rises.
Yes, due to human activities, the
amount of Carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere continue to increase. This
carbon dioxide is not released into the
space but is trap in the Earth’s
atmosphere that’s why temperature
rises. Giving all the blame to ourselves
will brought two effect either we feel
burdened and do something about it
or we feel depressed and decided to
not do anything anymore.

biodiversity in regions of high elevations and
latitudes were higher than those in the past under
the effect of global warming. Well-publicized
examples are the migration of robins to Alaska

There are really times that species
migrate to other places. It maybe due
to the environment or they search for
food.
The main factor in melting glaciers is
higher temperature. Since global
warming is the gradual warming of the
Earth’s surface, the temperature also
increases so glaciers will definitely
melts. Since we’re looking at the
bigger picture others may seem to
ignore some small changes in our
environment. If both of the skeptic’s
and Al Gore’s claim is true, I think there
must be further research due to this
phenomena, especially the
increasing amount of glaciers.

Increasing amount of solar radiation leads to
global climate change
A study by Swiss and German scientists suggested
that increasing amount of solar radiation was
responsible for global climate change. Dr Sami
Solanki, the director of the renowned Max Planck

strongest over the past 60 years. More solar
radiation is released and affects global
temperature. The Sun is now in a changing state.
It is brighter than it was a few hundred years ago

Organization (FA0) discovered the massive
increase of antibiotic pest after using pesticides
for long term. The research showed there was an
increase from 50 types of antibiotic harmful
insects in the 1950s to 552 types in the beginning
of 1990s. In the late 90s, the number increased to
900. In addition, changes of land uses also
increase the number of harmful insects.

Both factors can affect the world’s
overall environment but we can also
say that the human are the main
cause. If human did not do anything
to alter the world’s original
environment, do you think this would
happen? I also think yes. Based on the
Earth’s history it has undergone many
process of heating and cooling so I
think this is possible. We cannot really
know what would be the actual effect
unless it happen. Now that we are
faced with this problem, I think the
human race must take their part as
the protector of their own home.
The constant change in our
environment is also felt by other
organisms such as this pest. They also
experience a decline in the number of
species but soon after they have
adapted to the environment they
started to grow again. That might be
the case. There still no concrete
evidence that points out global
warming as the cause in the increase
of them. The advances in science
might have brought upon this
problem.

warmest. Our country is typhoon
stricken so we can tell if there has
been a change based on our first
hand experiences. There has been
numerous strong typhoons that visit
our country but this could be traced
back to the fact that we live near the
Pacific where most of it is developed
so it may be natural. But what’s
unnatural is the abrupt changes in the
winds speed and its ability to land for
so many times. In the past studies,
typhoon dissipate after its first landing
but today it is not the case. The
typhoon land for so many times and it
grows stronger as it lands to other
spots. I think the Earth is really warm
that it find many favorable spot.
Even though I have only lived for 19
years in this world, I can also say that
the weather today is more drastic
than the past. The frequent changes
in the atmosphere is almost
unpredictable and most probably
caused by this global warming. Back
then during summer, we can still enjoy
playing outdoor games under the sun
but today we cannot. Even here in
rural areas where there are still many
trees, you cannot enjoy much of the

extinct in some place but in other
place it is not. But Polar bears are
really affected by this issue. So as the
global warming continues to happen,
the glaciers/ice that they live in will
melt.
