1. What are the four main types of tissue?

The four main types of tissue are epithelial, connective, muscle, and
nervous.

The tissue is epidermis and it isn’t a good idea because it spreads on
your skin unless it is meaningful.

3. What is the difference between tendons and ligaments?


The tendons are white bands of connective tissue attaching skeletal
muscle to bone. The ligaments are are strong, flexible bands of connective
tissue that holds bones firmly together at the joints.
4. Compare the 3 types of muscle tissue. Cardiac, smooth & skeletal.
The cardiac contracts the heart, the smooth lines the walls of blood
vessels and certain organs and is involuntary. The skeletal is attached to the
bones and cause movements of the body and provides movement in various
body systems.
5. Name and describe the 10 body systems. Which two
provides energy to the 8 body systems? Provide images for each
body system.
Organ system: cells combine to form tissues and tissues combine to
form organs and organs make up our different body systems.
Skeletal system: supports, protects, and helps the movement of the
body.
Circulatory system: Pumps blood, maintains blood pressure,
transports oxygen
Muscular system: Is used for support, protection, allows movement,

and produces heat.


Respiratory system: Transports and exchanges oxygen and
carbon dioxide
Digestive system: Digest food, absorbs nutrients, secretes
digestive enzymes, and removes waste products
Nervous system: Processes information and controls voluntary
activities and relays information
Urinary system: Forms, concentrates and eliminates urine
Reproductive system: System of sex organs

6. Name three diseases associated with the skeletal system, muscular


system and nervous system.
Skeletal: rickets, fracture, and bone disease
Muscular: Cerebral palsy, dermatomyositis, and myasthenia gravis
Nervous: Huntington's disease, muscular dystrophy, and degenerative
disease
7. What is the strongest bone in the body? Where are the weakest bones
found in the body
The strongest bone is the femur and the weakest is your ear bones.
8. How many bones are in the human body? How many bones does a 2 month
child have? Why does the baby have more bones?
There are 206 bones in the human bodies and a baby has 300 bones. Babies
have more bones because as they grow, bones start to fuse together.
