Materials
 Yarn/wool: I have used Catania yarn from Schachenmayr in green (0205 < 50g),
dark green (0212 < 50g), pink (0222 < 50g) and white (0106 < 50g) color.
 Crochet hook: 3.0 mm
 Tapestry needle
 Scissors
 Filling
 Two 6 mm black safety eyes
 20 cm long, 3 cm wide black elastic band

Abbreviations
St(s) - stitch(es)
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Slst - slip stitch
Inc - increase (2 sc in next st)
Dec - decrease (2 sc worked off together)
(nr) - indicates the total number of stitches in the current row/round
FO - fasten off

Important Notes
 All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral (except the dragon’s eylids, nostrils and
tongue). Do not join or turn, unless instructed otherwise
 You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds
 Take your time to create your amigurumi’s face, it is a very important part of the final
result
 While stuffing take care to give each part a nice shape

In next round mouth and head will be crocheted together. Please prepare the mouth by
folding it in half.

Round 14. sc, insert hook through mouth and head stitches, as you see on the
pictures above: 6 sc, work into the head stitches again: 17 sc (24)
Round 15. sc, insert hook through the remaining stitches of the mouth, see
pictures below: 6 sc , crochet into the head stitches again: 17 sc (24)

The mouth is positioned slightly towards the right side of the head.

FO. Stuff the head. The mouth does not needed to be stuffed. Insert the elastic band into
the opening. Close the opening with invisible stitches (use the loops of last round) and sew
in the elastic band together with it (as you see on the pictures below).

Eyes

Eyeballs with white yarn (make 2):

Round 1. ch 4 (4)
Round 2. sc in second ch from hook, sc, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on the other
side of beginning ch: sc, 2 sc into the last ch (you made the first sc into
this ch) (8)
Round 3. inc, sc, 3 inc, sc, 2 inc (14)
Round 4. – Round 5. sc* (14)

FO. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing it to the head.

Eyelids with green yarn (make 2):

Eyelids are crocheted in rows.

Row 1. ch9 (9)


Row 2. Starting at second ch from hook 8 sc, ch1, turn (8)
Row 3. 8 sc, ch1, turn (8)
Row 4. dec, sc, dec, sc, dec, turn (5)
Row 5. 2 dec, slst, DO NOT TURN! (3)

Slst around. FO. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing it to the head.

Insert the black safety eyes into the eyeballs (see pictures above). With invisible stitches
sew the eyes to the head. For the exact place see the pictures below. Stuff the eyes softly
with a small amount of filling while sewing. Sew the eyelids onto the eyeballs.

Small Horns

Bigger one with dark green yarn:

Round 1. 4 sc in double adjustable ring (4)


Round 2. sc* (4)
Round 3. inc, 3 sc (5)

FO. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing it to the head.

Smaller one with dark green yarn:

Round 1. 3 sc in double adjustable ring (3)


Round 2. inc, 2 sc (4)

Nostrils

With green yarn (make 2):

Nostrils are crocheted in rows.

Row 1. ch5 (5)


Row 2. Starting at second ch from hook 2 dec, DO NOT TURN! (2)

Slst around. FO. Leave a long yarn tail and with invisible stitches sew it to the head. For
exact place and position see pictures below.

Ears

Spike

With dark green yarn:

FO. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing it to the head.
Flatten the spike. With invisible stitches sew it to the head. For the exact place please see
pictures above.
With dark green yarn embroider eyelashes.

Tongue

Tongue is crocheted in rows.


With pink yarn:
Row 1. ch 9 (9)
Row 2. slst in second ch from hook, 3 slst, 3 sc, 3 sc in last ch. Continue on the other
side of beginning ch: 3 sc, 4 slst (17)
FO. Leave a long yarn tail and with invisible stitches sew it into the mouth (see pictures).

Green Tail End

With green yarn:


Round 1. ch 10 (10)
Round 2. sc in second ch from hook, 7 sc (= sc in each of the next 7 ch), 3 sc in
last ch. Continue on the other side of beginning ch: 7 sc (= sc in each of
the next 7 ch), 2 sc into the last ch (you made the first sc into this ch) (20)
Round 3. – Round 6. sc* (20)

FO. Leave a long yarn tail and with invisible stitches sew it to the other end of the elastic
band (see pictures above).

Feet

Feet with green yarn (make 2):

First make toes (make 3):

Fasten off and weave in the yarn ends on first two toes. Do not fasten off on the third toe
and continue working on it.

Round 12. sc in next 3 st of the second toe, sc in all 6 st of the first toe, sc in
next 3 st of the second toe, sc in the next 6 st of the third toe (18)

Stuff it.

FO; close the hole by leading the thread through the front loops of last round, pull it tight
and weave the yarn tail into the foot.

With invisible stitches sew the feet to the tail end. See pictures below for exact place and
