is another task that is bothering them

if we dont improve the reporting environment - ict wont get the grief / nor will
faculties - as they will just call us anyway / but we will look like failures if we
dont improve the environment

no budget for new tool?


- ict need to be involved with the new reporting environment and adminstration
especially
- we dont have the knowledge in our dept to do this
- knowledge of IT infrastructures of lsbu needed - what can be supported
- indepth work to see what new solution could deliver what we need (mind you -
what are our requirements?)
- budget for consultant? - costly, how can we ensure we get value for money

we dont want to just drag n drop the old reports into the new system
- to many reports n versions of same report exist

there should be 1 report version for all users - issue chance the report doesnt get
used as there are too many variations in faculty practises

we need to get a case together to say what to do and why

just rolling it out with our current structure will lead to failure - users
dissatisfied - so we need to start from scratch
- this could further damage the little faith customers have in the reporting
environment

our current reports structure + infoview - unfit for purpose?


- if we dont get it right it would make us look silly

usergroup needd to pilot and test reports

what is / isnt possible in infoview + what level of help can we expect from ict
