“THE WIZARD OF ODDS” (Individual Super Quiz Bee Challenge)

OBJECTIVES:

1. To promote a friendly competition among BS Psychology students for them to


become more competitive for external and intercollegiate quiz competitions.
2. To showcase the intelligence of the students as they utilize higher level thinking
and reasoning skills at the same time.
3. To promote academic excellence among BS Psychology students.
4. To promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participants.
5. To select among the members, possible participants who can represent the
College of Arts and Sciences in the University-wide Quiz Bee Competition.

DESCRIPTION:
Quiz Bee is one of the most exciting activities in most academic celebrations in most
institutions. The TCU Psychology Society’s The Wizard of Odds(Individual Quiz Bee
Challenge) is designed to showcase the intelligence of each students who has a keen interests and
insatiable thirst for knowledge and factual information.

This competition was comprised of thirty (30) participants from different year levels. It has five rounds
of difficulties. The last two students to stood were Ms. Raechella Viloria and Mr. Gregorio Perol .

And the last standing student is Mr. Gregorio M. Perol Jr. from BSPSY A3-2 eve .
REINA SIKOLOHIYA 2017

OBJECTIVES :

1. To promote a friendly competition among BS Psychology students.


2. To motivate students to participate campus pageantry which could help them build
courage, confidence and passion to realize their potential.
3. To reinforce sociability and camaraderie, acquaint students to establish familiarity and
fasten participation of students who often have diverse interests.
4. To build students’ confidence and leadership skills as winning students would also
become role models in our school.
5. The competition would see more and more students strive in taking care of themselves
and their academics as we would not only be looking for beauty but leadership and
intelligence as well.

DESCRIPTION
In reference to the forthcoming Foundation Day Celebration of our University, the Reina
Sikolohiya pageant shall be our screening platform as to who shall be our rightful
representative for the ‘Ms. TCU’ this year.

APPERCEPTION (Organizational T-Shirt Design Contest)

OBJECTIVE
To promote our organizational spirit through creative solution.

Five students from different year levels sent their own designed shirt. Their entry has
been judged to the criteria of creativity, originality and relevance to the theme.

CATHARSIS (Spoken Word Poetry)
OBJECTIVES

1) To explore poetry as a medium of written and spoken expression.


2) To appreciate poetry as medium to express commentary on the pressing social
issues of the times.
3) To be introduced to poetry that engages them in this medium of spoken
expression.
4) To explore the power of poetry that is written to be spoken and performed and
to examine different literary techniques in spoken word.
SUBLIMATION (PHOTOGRAPHY AND ARTS EXHIBIT CONTEST)

OBJECTIVES :

1. The primary design objective is to find a creative, original and entertaining way to
visually represent the theme.
2. To conduct periodical, psychology-related and art exhibitions and thereby
bringing together people of the same ideology or field for the common cause of
promoting Psychology as a discipline.
3. To develop the practice, enjoyment and understanding of contemporary
photography and lens-based media in the field of Psychology and beyond.
4. To enrich our student’s awareness and experience in Psychology through artistic
photography that is distinctive, innovative and challenging.
5. To harmonize all ideas and conduct photo walks and other photography-related
events with Psychological perspectives.

AWARDS NIGHT

OBJECTIVES :

1. To promote camaraderie and familiarity among Psychology students and facultyof


the College of Arts and Sciences.
2. The show off students’ talents and skills through talent showcase and other
activities.
3. To create an opportunity for students to meet, ask questions and make friends and
study partners.
4. To present recognitions to all winners of different competitions as well as a night
of recognizing our Professors effort and passion in teaching.

After having the academic and non-academic activities. The Psychology Society together with
those psych students who initiated to help in the preparation of the most awaited night the
Awards Night with the theme of Bohemian Style. In this night the deserving students has been
awarded for their great work in the different competitions happened during the two days of
Psychology Days, it was not just a night of awarding but a night of refreshing after a stressful
days of studying and preparing the Psych Days.

In this night, all of the Psych students from different year levels have the chance to meet
and know their co-psych students. They have shown their creativity in their chosen outfit.

EXTENSION PROGRAM

Psychology Society together in coordination of CAS Extension Faculty


conducted its 6th Gift Giving Program in Sentro Kalinga.

Before the departure ,TCU CAS Professors together with the Senior High
Students took a pose in front of the Taguig City University
