CHARACTERIZATION OF THE IN VITRO SENSITIVITY OF
2.1 Introduction
The aim of this aspect of the research was to assess the in vitro
sensitivity to CQ, are 3D7, D10, K1, W2, Fac8 and RSA11. 3D7 is a
CQS clone derived from the isolate NFS, which was obtained from an

4% CO2 and 3% O2. The cabinet was sealed and incubated for 48
hours at 37°C.
At the end of the incubation period the cells that had settled at the
bottom of the wells were resuspended. A 15μl sample of each well was

from 8.87nM to 18.26nM. The results also show that PND was less

in the activity of PND against CQR and CQS strains, while there was

The results presented here also demonstrate that the PND IC 50 values
for CQR strains were higher than those for the CQS strains, indicating
that PND is less potent against CQR strains. There have been
