 First of all, allow us as the authors of this paper. To express our gratitude to the
Almighty God, our status can present this Announcement task.

With the key words from this paper, it is expected that the young generation of the nation can
become real, pious, faithful to Allah SWT and who benefit the community. Thank you and
thank you to God and all those who have helped smooth, giving values and ideas for the
composition of this paper.

We as compilers have done everything possible to perfect this paper, but do not include errors

DEFINITION OF ANNOUNCEMENT

Announcement comes from the word announce; in English the meaning announce verb
"make a formal public declaration about a fact, occurrence, or intention. So it can be said that
"announcement" means the notification of facts, events or intentions, both written or spoken
that are conveyed to the public.

Announcement text announcement is a type of short functional text that contains an

information or an official notification about something that is addressed to the public.
Announcement itself there are 2 types, namely text writing (spoke text) and written text
(written text).

ANNOUNCEMENT FUNCTION AND PURPOSE

The goal is to provide some information to the public about what is happening and what will
happen. Announcement text or announcement text in English that serves to convey
information or announcements in writing to anyone who needs the information.

Announcement text itself belongs to the functional text that often appears in various exam
questions. That's why this time I will give a few examples of short announcement text that
you can use as a reference for learning English.

CHARACTERISTICS ANNOUNCEMENT
Here are some of the features that have been announced.
• The existence of a title or type of event.
• Using simple present tense or can also use simple future tense.
• Combining conjunctions (connectors).
• visible date, time and place in the announcement.
• Address and contact person.
• An event or play.

GENERAL STRUCTURE
The structure of the announcement is:

Title
The title or title of the announcement is the most important part of an announcement because
the title is added in its entirety.

Explanation
Explanation is a further explanation of the contents of today's warning. The movement
consists of basic information on activities, time, place, address, participants, and contact
person.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF PARTS
Parts of the announcement include:
• Title or type of event (title / type of event).
• Date and time (date and time).
• Place (place).
• Person or address that can be contacted (person / address contact).

Pengertian Announcement

Announcement berasal dari kata announce; dalam bahasa Inggris kata kerja announce
bermakna “make a formal public declaration about a fact, occurrence, or intention. Jadi dapat
dikatakan “announcement” bermakna pemberitahuan fakta, kejadian atau niat, baik tertulis
atau terucap yang disampaikan kepada publik.

Announcement text pengumuman yaitu jenis short fungsional text yang berisi sebuah
informasi atau sebuah pemberitahuan resmi tentang sesuatu hal yang di tujukan kepada
khalayak umum. Announcement sendiri terdapat 2 jenis yaitu teks tulisan (spoke text) dan
teks tertulis (written text).

Fungsi dan Tujuan Announcement

Tujuan nya adalah memberikan beberapa informasi kepada khalayak orang banyak mengenai
apa terjadi dan apa yang akan terjadi. Announcement text atau teks pengumuman dalam
bahasa inggris yang berfungsi untuk menyampaikan informasi atau pengumuman secara
tertulis ke pada siapapun yang membutuhkan informasi tersebut.

Announcement text sendiri tergolong dalam functional text yang sering sekali muncul dalam
berbagai soal ujian. Karena itulah kali ini saya akan memberikan beberapa contoh
announcement text singkat yang bisa sobat gunakan sebagai referensi belajar bahasa Inggris.

Ciri-Ciri Announcement

Berikut adalah beberapa ciri-ciri yang terdapat ada announcement.

 Adanya judul atau jenis kejadian.

 Menggunakan simple present tense atau bisa juga menggunakan simple future tense.
 Menggunakan conjunction (penghubung).
 Terdapat tanggal, waktu, dan tempat pada announcement tersebut.
 Adanya alamat dan contact person.
 Adanya event atau peristiwa.

 Pemberitahuan atau himbauan dari pemerintah.

Generic Structure

Struktur dari announcement adalah :

Title

Title atau judul pengumuman adalah bagian paling penting pada sebuah announcement
karena title mewakili keseluruhan dari isi pengumuman tersebut.

Explanation

Explanation adalah penjelasan lebih lanjut mengenai isi pengumuman. Umumnya terdiri dari
informasi dasar yang mencakup jenis kegiatan, waktu, tempat, alamat, partisipant, dan
contact person.

Bagian-Bagian Announcement

Bagian dari announcement meliputi :

 Judul atau jenis kejadian (The title/type of event).

 Tanggal dan waktu (date and time).
 Tempat (place).
 Orang atau alamat yang dapat dihubungi (contact person/address).

diperbolehkan menaiki bus. Untuk orang tua, pastikan bahwa anak anda mengenakan pakaian

RESULT
The definition of an announcement is an official statement or notification in the
form of oral or written which contains a thing to be known by many people. However, what
is meant by people is not that everyone who hears the announcement has an interest in the
announcement announced.
Announcement aims to provide formal information to the general public about an
event, job vacancies, new student admissions, acceptance of new students, and so on.
