The objectives of learning is to be able the students to comprehend the analytical

exposition text. The students are expected to be able to comprehend and share their
comprehension toward the analytical exposition text. Under the cooperative learning
method, the teacher will try to “bridge” the material into the students’ understanding
concerning the materials. The cooperative method is also deployed since it presumes
build the students’ spirit of teamwork. By using a learning strategy in sharing student’s
grasp based on discussion, TPS (Think Pair and Share), the teaching and learning
activity is estimated to easier the students in conveying their message, opinion,
arguments, and so the like. For the information, both reading and speaking skill are the
main focus skills in this teaching and learning progress.
For the meantime, in initiating the main activity, the teacher previously bring
back the previous lesson. Such activity is assumed to prepare and to make the students
to be ready in starting the lesson. As the revealed teaching material, media of teaching
which will be applied by the teacher is a simple analytical exposition text. The other
media is an analytical exposition text with a picture in it.
The teacher will distribute the text above to the students. They will be given 3
minutes to read. Then. The teacher will explained the understanding of the text and the
structural feature of analytical exposition text as the next activity. It will take about 5
minutes. Later on, the students will be asked by the teacher to discuss the distributed a
pictured-analytical exposition text with their own partner for 5 minutes while their
partner is arranged by the teacher.
During the discussion, the teacher will observe the student’s activity. The
observation is done due to provide answers in solving the difficulties which faced by
the students. The discussion of the students is considered to make them comprehend
the content of the analytical exposition.
Soon after, the next activity of teaching and learning is the teacher ask randomly
a couple of students to promote their ideas and share it to the whole class with their
own partner for 5 minutes. That kind of activity is supposed to increase their way of
critical thinking in giving their opinion based on the given material.
Temporarily, in assessing the student’s performance, the teacher will evaluate it
by observing and giving score toward their share. The view of one can be different with
the other student. Hence, it will be so interesting to assess the way of conveying their
ideas into the whole class. The other students are also expected to respond their
performance and giving some comments and questions if it is necessary by benefitting
the given 3 minutes by teacher.
