What is this game?
Another Stupid Game with Monsters is simple 2 to 4 players
card battle. It allows you for around 10 minutes to become
Evil-mad-wizard-scientist-villain and try to beat other evil-mad-d-
wizard-scientist-villains. Through 6 rounds you will become
what others hate and also hate others for what they have
become. Your personal and greater power is to summon most
powerful monsters from around the world and other dimen-
sions. Those magnificent creatures will do almost everything
that you will order them to. Except going and do the laundry.
The battle will begin at your home. Sorry but we paid a lot for
special effects so we didn't got any more cash for a nice
location. Your house will have to endure this.
Each player starts with opening a gate to other worlds. From
there he or she can summon most vicious and terrifing
monster like Marvin, the man-fish. Now after you have obtained
your creature you can do with it one obvious thing- send to
KILL! Other players are obvious choice for target.
If your creature wins with other players creature, you can keep
it's enemies corpse as a trophy. It will look awesome above
your fireplace. As a bonus, if your monster has endured
enemies attack you can keep him as a trophy also! Each round
you summon next creature and try to kill others pets. Player
who at the end of the game has most trophies wins.
Now the tricky part comes! Each monster has it's unique and
weird ability that will mess with the game. You can loose all
your trophies, exchange trophies with other players or see
through enemies plans. Each player needs to do what ability
says if it is triggered so it can turn around and even hurt
creature master.
Be bold, be devious, be sharp. Use the monsters strength and
abilities to turn the game around. At the end- there is only one
winner. And no-one will argue how you achieved your goals.
What is this document for?
It allows you to play a demo version at your house. Below you
can see a shortened version of instruction and at the end 6
cards to print out. To build your own deck you should print each
card 4 times. That should give you 24 cards total.
How to play?
First of course shuffle the deck. Each player then draws 6 cards
form the deck. Leave rest of the cards face down on the board.
First player should be choosen at this point. Now we can start
the game!
Round order
1. Open the gate
First player chooses a monster from his/her hand and places it
on the board ahead. Then next player chooses monster from
his/her own hand and places next monster. This continous until
last player places a creature.
2. Monster beatdown
First player monster attacks a creature on the left side. To see
if it defeats it, you must sum up all the sword icons on card's
left side. Then sum up all the shields on the defending monster
card. If the swords amount is higher or equall to the shields
number, you have defeted the enemy monster. You should
mark each defeated monster by rotating it's card by 90 degrees
clockwise.
Then next player on the left attacks his opponent. Defeated
monsters can still attack.
This phase ends when last player finishes attacking first player.
3. Chaos
Now starting with the first player everyone by order is checking
it's monters abilities for activation. there are 4 activation
conditions marked on cards by icons.
Defeated. Your monster didn't endured the attack from
the enemy.
Winner. Your monster has beated down a monster that it
attacked.
Defense. Monster has endured the attack from the
enemy.
Summoned. Monster has been simply played into the
game.
When you ability is activated you should read it. All the players
should follow it's instructions. After that next player checks it's
ability. The phase ends when last player checks it's monster
ability.
4. Trophies
Now starting with first player each one collects cards as a
trophies. If you have managed to win over an enemy that you
have attacked you can take his/her card as a trophy and put it
onto your trophies pile face down. Also if your monster has
endured the attack you should take him as your trophy.
At the end of this phase first player card should be given to the
player on the left. Now he or she is the new first player. The
round ends.
There are abilities that will remove the cards from the game or
trophy piles, or won't allow you to take them as a trophies. In
those cases take all those cards and shuflle them into the deck
on the board.
The whole game should take 5 rounds with this smaller deck.
After those 5 rounds player with most trophies wins the whole
game.
