Summary of Actual Duties

Performs duties and responsibilities as uniformed personnel of the Bureau of the Fire
Protection for the fulfillment of the following functions pursuant to the provisions of RA
6975. (1) Prevention and Suppression of all destructive fires on buildings; houses; and
other structures; forest; land transportaion vehicle and equipments; ships and vessels
docked at pier or whenever anchored in seaports; petroleum industry installations; plane
crashes and other simillar activities; (2) enforcement of the fire code of the Philippines
(RA 9514); and other related laws; (3) investigate all causes of fire and if necessary; file
with proper complaints with the city or provincial prosecutor who has jurisdiction over
the case; and (4) in time of national emergencies and upon direction of the President,
assist the AFP in meeting national emergency
