As per the attached document in Appendix B, the MDF unite weight is ranging between 40-60 lb/ft3

which is almost 650 to 900 kg/m3.

An average of 800 kg/m3 was chosen as MDF unit weight which is equivalent to 7.85 kN/m3

For 6 mm thick board the applied load is:

7.85x0.006= 0.047 kN/m2 and it is applied as area load on top of the mini slide.
