Assembly Procedure

The following instructions are to be used in conjunction with


General Assembly Drawing 1280004

1. Grease 282743 bearing with TP2431 bearing gel and assemble into oscillator housing using
tool/jig 6017011
2. Assemble 282753 circlip into oscillator housing using tool/jig 6017012.
3. Using jig 10425 assemble 607733 bearing and 609463 spacer into housing.
4. Slide shaft into position.
5. Using jig 10435 assemble 282733 spacer, oscillator and binx nut. Tighten the nut to 20Nm.
6. Using tool/jig 12790.9 assemble locking ring and 216673 circlip to oscillator housing.
7. Assemble 216713 O ring to spindle guard. Lightly grease spindle guard thread and
assemble to locking ring.
8. Assemble 202313 O ring to 608343 spacer.
9. Assemble socket cap screw, wave washer & circlip. to blade retainer.
10. Using 4mm Allen Key assemble spacer and clamp screw to oscillator housing.
11. Grease the oscillator using TP2431 bearing gel.
12. Clamp eccentric adaptor in soft jaws of a vice, and assemble to motor shaft by presenting
motor to bore, turning motor on and ensuring eccentric adaptor is fully engaged.
13. Assemble 216663 bearing and nylock nut to eccentric, tightening nut to 2.6Nm.
14. Grease the outside of the oscillator bearing using TP2431 bearing gel.
15. If replacing the motor remove and discard the transit screws (or adhesive tape) from the
motor.
16. Assemble the oscillator head to the motor and secure using four self tapping screws, taking
care not to over-tighten.

Safety Warning:
After any electrical disassembly or repair the equipment must be tested for electrical safety. The
equipment must be tested for both dielectric withstand and earth continuity, and the tests should
be in accordance with either EN60601-1 or an appropriate national safety standard.
