Concentration in mcg/mL

This graph shows the amount of light absorbed in different concentrations in serial dilution. The
wavelength set in the microplate reader is specific for flavonoids.The concentrations used are 31.25mcg,
62.5mcg/mL, 125mcg/mL, 250mcg/mL, 500mcg/mL, and 1000mcg/mL, and the absorbance measured
were 1.02, 1.768, 2.512, 2.551, 1.863, and 2.806 respectively. Same concentrations were used in
measuring the absorbance of ampalaya which resulted to 0.1, 0.163, 0.178, 0.261, 0.503, and 0.798
respectively.

Discussion:

An increase in absorbance results in an increase in the Total Flavonoid Content (TFC). The quercetin
equivalence using the equation:

y = ax + b
