Call for Abstracts

We invite you to submit an abstract for poster presentation at the 2018 PAMET Research
Seminar and Poster Presentation on September 19, 2018, at the Manila Central Uni-
versity (MCU) Auditorium. It will be assumed that the research which will be presented
is original and has not been submitted, presented or published elsewhere. Also, all the
authors involved should have agreed to its submission. Experts will be consulted regarding
the acceptability of the submission for competition during the PAMET Research Poster
Paper Presentation, and letter of acceptance will be sent to the corresponding author.

Deadline of Abstract Submission is on August 25, 2018, 12:00 MN

General Guidelines for Abstract Submission

The abstract should be written in English and must be submitted in word format. The title
should be informative and be no more than 120 characters in length. Acronyms and ab-
breviations should be avoided. The content of the abstract should be written as a single
paragraph not exceeding 500 words and devoid of any references or citations. It should
concisely discuss the background, importance and objectives of the study, the general
methods used, the most significant results obtained, the conclusions made and their signif-
icance.

For the presenting author, provide a complete full contact details. The name of the pre-
senting author must be written in bold. Use full first name and last name of all authors, in
upper and lower case. Affiliation details for each author must include: Name of Institution,
Department, City or Province. Make a separate entry for each institution. Do not repeat
identical institution details if they apply to more than one author.

The entire abstract should fit into an A4 or letter size page. Recommended font style is Ar-
ial,12 pt font size, single spaced.

Guidelines for Poster Paper Preparation

1. Use Font size and Figures which can be read clearly from a distance of 2 meters. The
poster may be printed either in glossy poster paper or tarpaulin, with dimensions as
follows: 30” x 40” (W x L).

2. The contents of the poster should be organized into following sections: Introduction,
Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.

3. The schedule for setting up of posters will be in the morning, between 8:00 AM and
9:30 AM of September 19, after which, no poster set-ups will be allowed.

4. The poster board assignments will be given to presenting authors during set up.

5. The presenting author(s) must be at the poster display area during the scheduled
poster session on September 19.

6. Submit completed “Abstract Submission Form” (see attached) on or before


August 25, 2018 via email to:

7. Notification letter for accepted abstracts will be sent through e-mail on or before
