2018 All City Choir

Are you a 6th grader interested in being a part of our Austin All-City
Choir? The concert is on Tuesday, October 30 and features the best and
brightest of all AISD choir programs at our beautiful AISD Performing
Arts Center! The concert will be televised and conducted by an excellent
guest conductor.

We will leave Small MS after lunch, then bus over to the AISD Performing Arts
Center, 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd, Austin, TX. We will work together as an All-
City Choir on our music, be served a delicious pizza dinner, and perform our music
from 7-8 PM. Students attending must either have a parent present for the concert/a
ride home from the PAC OR arrange a ride home with another choir parent.

If you would like to be a part of this exciting opportunity, you will need to
start learning the music for it! Here is what you need to do:

1. Visit the choir website (www.clintsmallmiddleschoolchoir.weeblycom) and

click “Audio Files”
2. Print the PDF file so that you have the sheet music - you will need to have
this at practice!
3. Ask Mrs. Holzner which part she would like you to learn - part 1/Soprano or
part 2/Alto.
4. Practice with the recordings below AND with your sheet music!

Mrs. Holzner can bring only 12 singers to be a part of the All-City Choir. Please
sign up on the interest form in the choir room by Friday, September 28. All singers
chosen to attend will:

• Know their music and their part well enough to rehearse with the All-City
Choir
• Be ready to represent Small MS with great behavior, effort, and maturity
• Attend a few after school rehearsals in October to prepare
• Audition on their music in a small group IF there are more than 12 singers
interested in attending
