Vehicles,

This is a request under the North Carolina public records law, GS Chapter 132 and subsequent sections.

I request access to the following:

 Any and all subpoenas issued to the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles by the U.S.
Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina since Aug. 1, 2018.
 Any and all documentation and correspondence about that subpoena from Aug. 1, 2018 to the
current date that this request is filled.

If you determine that only portions of a file are exempt from release, I request that I be provided with all
nonexempt portions. (I reserve my right to object to any withholding or deletion of information).

Because this request is in the public interest, I request that it be provided “as promptly as possible,” as
specified in the law.

Because this request is in the public interest, I request that you waive any fees. If fees are going to be
charged, please notify me before proceeding. If after that conversation fees are charged, please provide
a detailed receipt explaining the purpose of each fee charged.

If some of this material will take longer to provide than other portions, please provide that information
as soon as it is available. If this information is available in electronic format, I request it in that way. And
if it can be provided by email, please do so.
