Learning outcomes of the course unit:


The aim of this course is to provide students with information and expand their knowledge about the practical aspects of
the application of microelectronic components, circuits, sensor systems and actuators in continuous and discrete timer
manufacturing processes. Teaching of methodological procedures used in the design, analysis and characterization of
the properties of electronic systems with sensors and actuators for their effective utilization for selected applications,
such as in automotive electronics, security system and so on are of the subject of the course. Students will significantly
gain their practical experience in the design of electronic systems.

Course contents:
The basic building blocks of sensor systems. Components and circuits for processing and evaluation of sensor sig-
nals. Intelligent sensors. Sensor systems for the detection of various physical and chemical variables. Actuators and
control electronics. The integration of sensors and actuators in industrial systems. Application examples. Automotive
electronics. Security technology. Electronic control systems.
