concerns, primary problems that needs to be attended to. They also have individual diagnosis that needs
to be recorded and tabularized and sent to the Department of Health for close monitoring

of it, we are able to relate with others. In this fast paced world that we live in now, communication has
helped us connect to other people who are far from us. As such, the use of modern technology has
gradually increased and has indeed become very useful in completing everyday tasks, may it be personal
or work related. Modern technology has helped lighten the burden of our everyday tasks. In the hospital
alone, an increase number of patients have made the workload of nurses very challenging.

According to Reed (2005), Computerization has increased work efficiency and maximized the quality of
services offered. Since technology has been very utilized in this modern world, it has also been used to
the fullest in all aspects of life. The most breakthrough is in applying it to our work.

Information communications technology refers to technologies that provide access to information


through telecommunications. It enables people to communicate with family, friends and colleagues
around the world, gain access to global libraries, information resources, and many others.

In the hospital, information communications technology is being used in order to improve the healthcare
delivery system. Computerization of medical records have become very useful in retrieving and managing,
and disseminating patient data.
